Bashara Tool Manufacturing Co. 211-212 SCANLON BUILDING HOUSTON, TEXAS

THE DAISY DETACHABLE FISH TAIL BIT

The common Fish Tail Bit in use today is from three-fourths to one inch thick and from 10 to 14 inches long. The tips get dull and wear off in a very short time and have to be sharpened and often the steel is crystalized, hence it breaks off like glass when they are put into a hole, therefore they cause a lot of trouble and many wells are ruined by the use of the bit,, as there are very few men who know how to temper the steel of a bit. The most expen- sive part of the bit, which is the shank, is thrown away.

The Fish Tail Bit is the most important part used in drilling a well. The whole rig and and the men depend on the ordinary Fish Tail Bit, which is really a failure, as it gets dull in a very short time and has to be pulled out and sharpened and put back into the hole, which is the most expensive part of drilling. A lot of time is so wasted.

The ordinary Fish Tail Bit will crystalize your pipe and practically ruin it so it is impossible to use for more than five or ten wells, but with the DAISY FISH TAIL BIT you can drill two or three times as many wells with the same pipe, which is a tremendous big saving.

THE DAISY FISH TAIL BIT will paralyze the cost of drilling, as the tips are made of tool steel, the finest steel known, and as they wear off they are kept sharpened all the time. The tips of the DAISY FISH TAIL BIT are two and one-half inches thick, while the ordinary Fish Tail Bit is about one-half inch thick. With the DAISY FISH TAIL BIT you will not have to pull out of the hole but one time to your twen- ty if using the old Fish Tail Bit.

Five Patents Pending

We have a tremendous pressure of water right on the tip of the DAISY FISH TAIL BIT that keeps it tempered and pulverizes the dirt before it has a chance to stick to the tip. There is not a chance for the gumbo or any other formation to stick to the bit, which cause all the trouble of drilling a well.

Hydraulic Well Cleaner and Packer Which Has Almost Human Possibilities.

A screen or perforated pipe which is used in practically every oil field and which is to protect and hold back the sand from coming in and choking the well. As this oil comes along it always brings more sand with it, until finally the well is choked. With this marvelous and almost human cleaner, we go down on the inside of the well with steel brushes and scrape the walls of the screen or perforated pipe on the inside thoroughly and all paraffin or other substance that has stopped the well on the inside will naturally fall down to the bottom, as it is impossible for it to go elsewhere.

At the bottom of the cleaner there is a valve that the minute it hits anything it imme- diately releases the tremendous pressure of water and cleans out everything from the inside. To clean strainer or perforated pipe on the outside, we have two expanding collars, 24 inches apart, which expand and shut off the pressure of water or oil above and below the perforated pipe, making it the only opening in the whole string of pipe that water or oil can come through, and open every pore of the strainer or perforated pipe and drive away all sand or any other substance that has stopped the well. This creates a big cavity and opens every pore of the strata, hence, greatly increasing the flow of oil.

When this part is cleaned we then release the expanding collars and drop them down, about 24 inches at a time, until strainer is cleaned from top to bottom.

T HERE IS NO GOLD STAR on The Chronicle's service flag of 55 stars, but let this pro-American journal join the mothers and fathers of Texas in inscribing on the shaft of immortality this thought to the memory of their sons:

There is no mystery about what we call Death. Physical death is only the laying down of one life to take up a new life. To die bravely, in battle for one's country, is to begin nobly the life eternal.
