Of the amount expended for the purchase of new books, $10.90 was placed back in the book fund, from the rental of re- cent fiction for two cents per day. The library subscribed, last year, to twenty-eight different magazines and two daily news- papers for the reading room tables, at a cost of $65.95, while other periodicals were contributed.

The chief addition to the reference department was Funk and Wagnalls new Standard dictionary which is now to be found in the reading room.

A list of accessions from January 1, 1915, to January 1, 1916, has just been printed and is ready for distribution to all families of the town.

Respectfully submitted, MARY T. RANDALL; Librarian.

Town Agent's Report

We have had claims brought against the town of several hundred dollars. Those claims I did not believe were just, or that the town was legally bound to pay, but rather than have a lawsuit over the same, we compromised by the town paying fifteen dollars. I do not know of any claims against the town that will cause us any trouble or expense.

Selectmen's Report

We present the following report which covers the expense of the board during the year.

We have repaired and made some changes that were needed in the Town Hall. We have also done more work this year in putting up guard rails and fences, which have be- come a necessity to the traveling public. The town debt has been reduced and we hope that we shall continue reducing the same until we are free from all obligations. All of which we submit to your careful consideration.

T. H. CANDON,

D. D. BURDITT,

H. O. PHILLIPS,

Selectmen.
