'All unclaimed letters, (except those enumerated below), are adver- tised in Sunday's DAILY REGISTER. Persone calling for advertised letters should give the date of the list. DES MOINES STREET RAILWAY.


Oficers-Dr. M. P. Turner, President ; Q. B. White, Vice President. This Company was incorporated August, 1866, and charterixi Ded, 1866. By the terms of the charter, the first milo was to be completed Jan. 1st, 1800, the second mile Jan, 1871 and the third mile Jan. 187B. With highly commendable zeal the Company completed the first mile in December, 1867, at a cost of $20,000, and inaugurated the first street railway in the State. The success of the enterprise has proyed the sagacity of the company, while it bas at the same time afforded the city with a long needed public convenience.

The Western Stage Company's coaches connect with trains of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad at the present terminus of the road, for Council Bluffs, connecting with daily lines for Sioux City, Nebraska City, St. Joseph, Mo., and points in the southwesterr portion of the State; at Omaha with the Union Pacific Railroad for Offeyenne, Denver, Salt Lake, and California.
