MEDFIELD PUBLIC LIBRARY.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
I Any inhabitant of the Town of Medfield, over fifteen years old, may take from the Library one volume at a time, in accordance with these rules. Persons under the age of fifteen may receive books upon the guarantee of some per- son satisfactory to the Trustees or Librarian.
2 No book shall be kept out more than fourteen days. No book shall be taken out by the person returning it, or by any member of the same household, until after one full li- brary day from its return.
3 Any person keeping a book beyond the time allowed shall pay a fine of two cents for each day of detention. All injuries to books, beyond a reasonable wear, and all losses, shall be made good to the satisfaction of the trustees.
4. No book shall be taken out by any person disobeying these rules, until all fines, losses and injuries, chargeable to them, are made good.
5. All books shall be returned to the Library at such times as the Trustees may appoint, by reasonable notice, under a penalty of a fine of one dollar.

TO THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN :
The Fire Department is in good condition. Both companies have the required number of men, and are ready at all times to respond to the call of duty.
We have had nine calls and two still alarms for the past year.
. April 7, two calls. Fire on woodland owned by John Mason ; second on woodland back of the hennery. Damage small. Cause unknown.
April 29, fire in grove owned by Bracey Curtis. Damage small. Cause, sparks from railroad engine.
