MEDICAL EXAMINERS.
Each Medical Examiner in Suffolk county receives $4000 from the county for services rendered, and the associate receives $666; but if he serves more than two months he shall receive the same salary as the Medical Examiner, the amount to be deducted from the salary of him in whose stead he serves. Med- ical Examiners in other counties are feed as follows: for a view, without au- topsy, $5; for a view with autopsy, $30; for travel at the rate of 10 cents a mile to and from the place of view. All Medical Examiners are entitled from the State to 20 cents each for the first twenty entries, in recording and returning the facts relating to deaths, and 10 cents for each subsequent entry in any year.
