Article II. To hear and act upon the report of the Committee on a re- vision of the Building By-Laws.

The following report submitted as report of progress.

REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON REVISION OF EXISTING BY- LAWS RELATING TO PREVENTION OF FIRE AND PROTECTION OF LIFE, OF THE TOWN OF NORWOOD

Dated December 5, 1929.

The Committee appointed by the Moderator pursuant with action taken at a Special Town Meeting held on March 28, 1928, under Article 8 of the Warrant of said meeting, herewith submits report of progress.

Your Committee, at this time, recommends that an amendment to the Building By-Laws be adopted, in the form which will be presented under the following Article, substantially identical with the recommendation submitted by the Committee and in the hands of the voters at this meeting, amending the existing by-law with respect to the Fire Limit Districts.

The Committee desire to report that definite progress has been made in the matter of the revision of the existing by-law, that a complete report with recommendations will be submitted to the voters at a Town Meeting to be held in the early part of the coming year. There is an apparent sentiment, however, that the question of Fire Limit Distriets under the by-laws should have more immediate attention.

Respectfully submitted,

Article III. To see if the Town will vote to amend the provisions of the building by-law relating to fire limits.

Voted: That there be substituted the following new Section I in place of the existing Section I, of the existing Fire Limit By-Law:

Section I. For the prevention of fires and the preservation of life, health and morals, the territory within the limits hereinafter bounded and described and designated as Fire Limit Distriet No. I is hereby estab- lished as Fire Limit Distriet No. I.

Beginning at a point three hundred (300) feet from the property line on the westerly line of Washington Street and one hundred (100) feet from the northerly line of Howard Street, thence running in an easterly direction across Washington Street to the property line of land belonging
