During the year the Selectmen have directed the Clerk to have such of the old records as required, to be rebound. This has been done, and all the records of the town are now in excellent condi- tion except the records of births, deaths and marriages from the year 1780 to 1842, and these are being copied and put in proper form: when this work is completed our records from 1639 to the present time will compare favorably with any town in the state.

Respectfully submitted,

RICHARD T. LOMBARD, .
