REPORT OF THE WAYLAND WATER BOARD
To the Inhabitants of the Town of Wayland :
The Board organized with Walter S. Bigwood, Chairman ; Alfred C. Damon, Clerk and Collector; and A. A. Lamarine was reappointed Superintendent.
The Board wishes to thank the Planning Board for their co-operation in furnishing grades for the laying of the six-inch water main on Dudley Road.
The Board wishes to call your attention to the fact that owing to the large consumption of water during the summer months it has been necessary to run the Pumping Station 24 hrs. per day. If this demand continues in the future the Board recommends that a new well and auxiliary pump be installed.

REPORT OF THE WAYLAND CEMETERY COMMISSIONERS FOR 1937
During 1936 fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500) was received to establish Perpetual Care Funds, as follows :
$100 from Warren L. Bishop to establish the "Langmaid and Bishop Fund."
$1,000 from the Estate of Alfred W. Cutting to establish the "Alfred W. Cutting Fund."
$100 from Nathaniel R. Gerald to establish the "Nathaniel R. Gerald Fund."
$100 from Annie B. Bent to establish the "James A. Bent Fund."
$200 from Blanche D. Schleicher to establish the "Erwin W. Schleicher Fund."
The above added funds provides a sum amounting to $21,050 at interest giving a balance on December 31, 1936 of $1,185.22.
Ten burial lots and graves were sold during 1936 providing $258 to be appropriated for the use of the Cemetery Commis- sion during 1937.
Some needed fencing was done in the North Cemetery, as well as necessary water pipes in the North Cemetery Extension.
It is hoped that the Town of Wayland will supply neces- sary money to improve and repair the Receiving Tomb in Lake View Cemetery.
The Cemetery Commissioners again call attention to the fact that there are relatively few burial lots available. More land will soon be needed in Lake View Cemetery. There is a piece of land adjoining the northeasterly corner of Lake View Cemetery, of about one and a half acres in area, available. In the 1937 Town Warrant is an article relative to its purchase or taking.
Respectfully submitted,
PAUL B. DAVIS, Chairman, WARREN D. VALENTINE, WILLIAM READ, Clerk.
