Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to have the surety of the Collector of Taxes, Deputy Collector of Taxes, Treasurer, Town Clerk, Secretary of the Water Commissioners and Clerk of the Selectmen's bond placed with a fidelity or guarantee company, and appropriate a sum of money to pay for the same.
Article 8. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to bor- row money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1955 and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, General Laws.
Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the carrying on of the Moth work for the coming year.
Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for a Reserve Fund to provide for the extraordinary unforeseen expenses, as authorized by Section 6, Chapter 40, General Laws, or do or act in any manner relative thereto.

Article 41. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds in the treasury, a sum of money for the purchase of war bonds or other bonds that are legal investments for savings banks, and to be placed in a fund known as the Post-War Rehabilitation Fund in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 5, Acts of 1943; this money to be earmarked for the building and equipment of an addition to the new Elementary School building or do or act in any manner relative thereto.
Article 42. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Treasurer to transfer for the use of the Park Commissioners, a sum of money given to the Park Department by Mrs. Nettie F. Young, or do or act in any manner relative thereto. The amount of money to be transferred is approximately $73.00.

Article 43. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to sell a certain piece of land, or any part thereof, located on the northerly side of the Whiting & Davis parking lot, containing 13 and 07/100 acres, and identified as Lot #23 on Plat 5, in the Assessor's records. Also to authorize the Board of Selectmen to sign, acknowledge and deliver any instruments of transfer on behalf of the Town, or do or act in any manner relative thereto.
Article 44. To see whether or not the Town will vote to authorize the Town Forest Committee, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, to sell and convey, on such terms and conditions as they deem proper, the following described parcel of land situated on the southeasterly side of Washington Street in said Plainville, bounded: Northwesterly by said street, 540.88 feet; Southeasterly by Shepard's Pond; and Southwesterly by land now or formerly of Alexander Adair, et ux. Said premises being a portion of the premises described in Certificate of Title #15213, or do or act in any manner relative thereto.
Article 45. To see if the Town will vote to transfer a sum of money from the Surplus Revenue Account to be used by the assessors for the reduction of the tax rate or do or act in any manner relative thereto.
Article 46. To choose any committee and to hear the re- port of any committee and act thereon.
And you are directed to serve this Warrant, by posting up attested copies thereof in seven (7) Public Places in said town, seven (7) days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not, and make due return of this Warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at or before the time and place of said meeting as aforesaid.

WARRANT FOR ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS

To Either of the Constables of Plainville, Greeting:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Plainville qualified to vote in Town Affairs, to meet in High School Auditorium in said Plainville, on
MONDAY, THE FIRST DAY OF MARCH 1954, A. D.
at six-thirty o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following Articles viz:
Article 1. The following Town Officers to be chosen by ballot, viz: One Moderator, one Town Clerk, one Selectman, Board of Welfare, one Auditor, one Tree Warden, and three Constables for one year. One Selectman, Board of Welfare, one Assessor, one Water Commissioner, one Trustee of Public Library, one Park Commissioner, and one member of School Committee for three years.
For this purpose the polls will open at 6:30 o'clock in the forenoon and may be closed at 6 o'clock in the afternoon.
For the consideration of all other articles in this Warrant the meeting will be adjourned to 7:30 p.m. of said day in the Auditorium of the new Elementary School on South Street in said town.
Article 2. To choose all other necessary Town Officers not named in Article 1, for a term of one year.
Article 3. To consider and act on the reports of the Selectmen, Treasurer, and other Town Officers.

Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 81 of the General Laws.
Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to fix the salary and compensation of all elective officers of the Town as pro- vided by Section 108 of Chapter 41, General Laws, as amended, as follows:
