OUR EXPRESS TRAIN OF FREIGHT CARS Leaves the Depot of the Boston and Worcester Railroad EVERY DAY (Sundays excepted), at 1 o'clock, P. M. Freight is ready for delivery early the next morning, at Pier 18 North River, foot of Courtlandt street, New York.

Is received at PIER 18 NORTH RIVER, until 5 o'clock, P. M., on board the swift steamers CONNECTICUT and KNICKERBOCKER, EVERY DAY, (Sundays excepted,) and is ready for delivery at the Depot of the BOSTON AND WORCESTER RAILROAD, at noon of the next day.


Freight is always taken at as low rates as by any other Line.

On and after TUESDAY, March 80, the fast and superior wee-going steamers ST. LAWRENCE, Capt. Cyrus Sturte- vans, and JOHN MARSHALL, Capt. George Knight, will leave the end of Central wharf, Boston, for Portland, alter- nately, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, at 7 o'clock, P. M. Returning, will leave Atiantic Railroad wharf, Portland, on the same days at 7 P. M.


On the arrival of the boat, cars leave for South Paris, Bethel, Gorham, N. H., Buckfield, Lewiston, Monmouth, Winthrop, Readfeld, Belgrade, Waterville, Hallowell and Augusta.


Freight taken as usual.


Cabin fare to Portland, $1; Deck, 75 cents.


Stages will be in readiness at the above stations to convey passengers to the different towns throughout the State. No freight received after 6 o'clock.


The steamer MAID OF ERIN, Captain Billyes, leaves Portland every THURSDAY at 7 o'clock, A. M., for East- port and St. John in connection with the above boats. Passengers and freight taken at reduced rates.


The steamer T. F. SECOR will leave Portland every WEDNESDAY and SATURDAY MORNING at 7 o'clock, for Damariscotta and Thomaston in connection with the above boats for Boston. JOSEPH BROOKS, Agent.


BANGOR AND INTERMEDIATE LANDINGS.


The new and superior steamer BOSTON, Capt. Thomas B. Sandford, will, until further notice, leave the end of Yoster's south wharf, Broad street, every TUESDAY and FRIDAY EVENINGS, at 6 o'clock. Returning, will leave Bangor every MONDAY and THURSDAY, &: 11 o'clock A. M.


The steamer LAWRENCE will leave Belfast on the ar- rival of the Boston, every WEDNESDAY for Castine, Deer Isle and Sedgwick ; and every SATURDAY will leave Belfast for Blue Hill and Ellsworth, touching at the above places.


Goods will be insured by this Boat for one-fourth of one per cent., if requested, by applying to the Agent, without any charge for polley.


N. B. No matches, powder, or other extra hazardous freight taken. All persons are forbid trusting any one on account of the above boat without a written order from the Captain or Agent.
