FINAL REPORT OF THE PLANNING BOARD OF THE TOWN OF LINCOLN TO THE SPECIAL TOWN MEETING, NOV. 26,1962

In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 40A, Section 6, of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Mass- achusetts, the Planning Board presents herewith its final report to the Special Town Meeting on its proposal to amend the Zoning Map of Lincoln, Massachusetts, dated February 2, 1953, and thereafter amended, to include certain parcels of land within the B-1 Retail Business District established in Section V-B of the Zoning By-Law of the Town. The parcels of land are shown as parcels #5 and #6 on a plan entitled "Plan B", prepared by Snelling, Hilton & Associates for the Lincoln Planning Board, dated October, 1962. Copies of this plan were posted in the Town and published in adver- tisement of the statutory public hearing on the proposed amendment which was held in the Town Hall on November 20,

1962.

No material changes to the proposed amendment were

made at this time. This amendment to the Zoning Map is strongly recommended by the Planning Board in furtherance of a long range plan for the area, the purpose of which is to unify the B-1 Retail Business District. The rezoning of parcels #5 and #6 will consolidate the district to the northeast of the B. & M. R.
