Report of Selectmen

To the Citizens of Duxbury :

Your Board make the following report for the year end- ing December 31st, 1934.

Priscilla Avenue, Soule Avenue and White Street have been laid out as instructed by the last annual meeting and will be in the warrant for consideration by the voters for acceptance.

The small strip of land at the corner of Franklin and Acorn Streets has been purchased from Mr. and Mrs. William Day and made a part of the highway.

There has been purchased two new cars, one for the Police Dept. and one for Supt. of Streets.

There will probably be quite a call for larger appropri- ations at the coming Town Meeting.

We feel that the voters should consider with great care about voting too much as the taxes are getting to be a great burden.

The Welfare list is the greatest this year in the history of the town. Therefore making it much harder for those who have to pay taxes.

Respectfully submitted,

SIDNEY C. SOULE, HARRY F. SWIFT, CHARLES R. CROCKER, Selectmen of Duxbury.
