The meeting convened at 9:30 A. M. and the warrant was read by the Town Clerk.
Voted, unanimously, that the Town Clerk deposit one ballot for Harry B. Bradley for Moderator, which was done, and Harry B. Bradley was declared elected Moder- ator.
The Tellers, Harry A. McNaught, Robert I. Tower, and Herbert Packard were sworn by the Town Clerk.
Voted, that a recess be taken from 12 to 1.
Under Article 2, voted, unanimously, that the appoint- men of necessary officers not chosen by ballot be left in the hands of the Selectmen.

Under Article 15, voted, to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,775.26 for overdraft in the Snow and Ice Re- moval Department for 1933.
Under Article 16, voted, to reject the order of the County Commissioners to build a private way from West Street across land of George E. Hathaway and H. E. Merry for the benefit of said H. E. Merry, et al., and raise and appropriate sufficient funds for the purpose.

Therefore be it resolved by the citizens in annual Town Meeting assembled, that it is the sense of this meeting that the School Committee should arrange an open meet- ing for this purpose on some convenient evening before the tenth of May, notifying each voter of said meeting and publishing the same in local newspapers.
Under Article 31, voted, that the matter of the appoint- ment of a garbage Collector for the Town of Duxbury be left in the hands of the Board of Health.
Under Article 32, voted, to lay Article 32, on the table.
Voted, that the thanks of the meeting be extended to the Moderator for his courteous conduct of this meeting.

Bureau of Old Age Assistance
To the Citizens of Duxbury :
The Old Age Assistance law has been changed from the previous year, the one dollar assessed on each poll tax payer is discontinued, and the State's third is obtained from the liquor revenue.
There were 21 receiving aid January 1, 1934, there have been 6 added during the year, 1 has died, 4 have been dropped. Receiving aid December 31, 1934 were 22.

Report of Department of Public Welfare
To the Citizens of Duxbury :
The demands on this department have been exceedingly heavy this year. The E. R. A. work made possible by the Government Allotments has helped the department greatly in furnishing work to many. The surplus com- modities distributed has also helped many families.
The following allotments of E. R. A. funds were granted Duxbury :
June 700.00; July 950.00; August 750.00; September 800.00; October 1,000.00; November 1,200.00; December 1,500.00 ; Total $6,900.00
