To see if the Town will vote to request the Board of Selectmen to lay out Shawmut Avenue as a Town way from Shawmut Street to the public parking area, and to request the Town Engineer to make such survey as may be necessary to effect said purpose, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 23. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to change the name of Hitching Street to Cottage Lane, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 24. (At Request of Plannning Board.) To see what action the Town will take to install a sea valve on Norton Street.
ARTICLE 25. (At Request of Harry M. Elms and Others.) To see if the Town will vote to include as a part of the Street Department budget a sum of money sufficient to place a new culvert under Broad Street near its intersection with Academy Avenue, said culvert to be at the same grade and of the same size as the present culvert under Academy Avenue, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 26. (At Request of Herbert Almquist and Others.) To see if the Town will vote to install parking meters in all shopping areas, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 27. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the installation and maintenance of traffic signals at the intersection of North, Church, and Green Streets, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 28. (At Request of John Walter Howley and Others.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to. construct a sidewalk on the southerly side of Evans Street from Aspinwall Avenue to Morrill Street, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 29. (At Request of Planning Board.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for sidewalk construc- tion and curbings as laid out by the Planning Board and to be expended by the Selectmen; said work to be done by private contractor selected by competitive bidding, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 30. (At Request of Weymouth Manor Association.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for ma- terials for the construction of permanent sidewalks and curbing on one side of Homestead Avenue from Carson Street to Summer Street-Summer Street from Welland Road to Federal Street-Front Street on the west side from entrances of the new Homestead elementary school to Home- stead Avenue, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 31. (At Request of Everett E. Callahan and Others.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $50,000.00 for the construction of sidewalks, said sum to be divided as follows: $5,000.00 for supervision and equipment furnished by the Highway Department, $20,000.00 for materials, and $25,000.00 for labor, said labor to be furnished exclusively from the Department of Veterans' Services.

GOVERNMENTAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE
ARTICLE 32. (At Request of Planning Board.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the appointment of a project inspector to be selected from a civil service list to be prepared for such position to work under the direction of the Planning Board, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 33. (At Request of Personnel Board.) To see if the Town will vote to approve the following changes in its Classification and Pay Plan, or take any other action in relation thereto:
(a) To see if the Town will vote to grant extra pay at regular rates to police and firemen who are assigned to duty on legal holidays (10).
(b) To see if the Town will vote to delete from its Classification and Pay Plan all part-time elected and appointive officials, namely: Board of Selectmen, Town Counsel, Board of Assessors, Board of Health, Park Com- missioners, Registrar of Voters, Sealer of Weights and Measures, Animal Inspector, Dog Officer and School Heating Engineer.
( c ) To see if the Town will vote to delete from its Classification and Pay Plan all classification and pay schedules relating to employees of the Welfare Department.
(d) To see if the Town will vote that the Building Inspector shall henceforth be known as Building Inspector and Supervisor of Inspections and that his classification shall be changed from S-7 to S-8.
(e) To see if the Town will vote to change the classification of Direc- tor of Veterans' Services from S-6 to S-7.
. (f) To see if the Town will vote to establish a new position of As- sistant Superintendent classified S-7.

ARTICLE 34. (At Request of Everett E. Callahan.) To see if the Town will instruct the Moderator to appoint a committee of three (3) to petition the Legislature for an enabling act similar to the town manager act adopted by the Town of Norwood.
ARTICLE 35. (At Request of Everett E. Callahan.) To see if the Town will vote sufficient funds to establish a purchasing department and to instruct the Selectmen to establish said department before the first of May, 1952.
ARTICLE 36. (At Request of Committee on Re-Zoning.) To see if the Town will vote to accept a report and amendments to its Zoning By- Laws, Article X of the Town By-Laws, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 37. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 781 of the Acts of 1951, being "An Act relative to increasing the amounts of pensions and retirement allow- ances payable to certain former public employees."
ARTICLE 38. (At Request of Planning Board.) To see if the Town will vote to appoint a three-man Incinerator Committee, one member to be a member of the Planning Board, to present recommendations to the next Annual Town Meeting for the construction of an incinerator, or take any other action in relation thereto.

To see what action the Town will take relative to the disposition of the building and site of "The Tufts Library" at Weymouth Landing and the acquisition of another suitable location and the construction of another building to be known as "The Tufts Library."

To see what action the Town will take to appoint a five-man committee, one member of which to be a member of the Planning Board and one a member of the Police Department, to study and make recommendations to the next Annual Town Meeting regarding parking facilities in the Town, or take any other action in relation thereto.
EDUCATION
ARTICLE 43. (At Request of School Building Committee.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appropriate, for the construction of an addition to the James Humph- rey School, for certain alterations in the present building for development of the site, and to purchase the necessary furniture and equipment for the same, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 44. (At Request of School Building Committee.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for addi- tional fees for architects' services for the James Humphrey School, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 45. (At Request of School Committee.) To see if the Town will vote to construct Randall Avenue as provided for under Article 5 of the Special Town Meeting of October 1, 1951, and reappropriate the sum of $2,100.00 as appropriated under that Article for this purpose, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 46. (At Request of School Committee.) To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 18 of the Acts of 1952, being an act authorizing the Town to use certain land now held for playground purposes, for school purposes, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 47. (At Request of School Committee.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to purchase land of John A. Leary adjoining the Homestead School site, in accordance with plan of Russell H. Whiting, Civil Engineer, dated October 26, 1950, and containing 3400 square feet more or less, or take any other action in rela- tion thereto.

ARTICLE 48. (At Request of Planning Board.) To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by gift, purchase or take by right of eminent domain in fee for park or playground purposes certain property now or formerly owned by the Lakewood Grove and the

Birches Improvement Association, being shown as Lot 6, Block 346, Sheet 27; Lot 1, Block 349, Sheet 27; Lot 2, Block 349, Sheet 26, all as shown in Atlas of the Town of Weymouth, 1951, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 49. (At Request of Planning Board.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and approp- riate, for the purpose of acquiring by gift, purchase, or eminent domain, in fee, for park or playground purposes the land now or formerly of Brad- ley Park Development, Inc., and described as follows:

ARTICLE 50. (At Request of Idlewell Improvement Educational As- sociation.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the purpose of acquiring by gift or purchase or taking by right of eminent domain in fee for park purposes, certain lots of land shown on the 1950 Atlas of the Town of Weymouth, Sheet 9, Block No. 136, Lots Nos. 33, 34, 35 and 36, containing approximately 23,684 square feet, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 51. (At Request of Idlewell Improvement Educational As- sociation.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for construction of proposed Newell Memorial Park, Idlewell Section, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 52. (At Request of Park Department.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the further de- velopment of East Weymouth Playground, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 53. (At Request of Park Department.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the further de- velopment of the Pond Plain Playground at South Weymouth, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 54. (At Request of Park Department.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the further de- velopment of the Mosquito Plain Playground at South Weymouth, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 55. (At Request of Park Department and Mosquito Plain Civil and Social Association.) To see if the Town will vote to name the new Mosquito Plain Playground the Sarah E. Brassill Playground, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 56. (At Request of Pond Plain Improvement Association.) To see if the Town will vote to name the Pond Plain Playground now under construction the Arthur I. Negus Playground.
ARTICLE 57. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will appoint a committee of three to co-operate with the Metropolitan District Commission for the purpose of creating a beach along the waterfront in North Weymouth, said commtitee to report to a future Town Meeting for further action.
ARTICLE 58. (At Request of Planning Board.) To see what action the Town will take to appoint a five-man committee, one member of which to be a member of the Planning Board and one a member of the Park Department, to investigate the possibilities of increasing the beach facilities in North Weymouth and along the Fore and Back Rivers, or take any other action in relation thereto.
VETERANS
ARTICLE 59. (At Request of Wessagusset Post, No. 1399, Veterans of Foreign Wars.) To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Board of Selectmen to contract with Wessagusset Post, No 1399, of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States for the care and maintenance of Old Cemetery, off Park Avenue; Old Cemetery, opposite Fairmount Cemetery

on Pleasant Street; one located off Randolph Street; and Old Cemetery, off Pleasant Street, near Pine Street; Ashwood Cemetery on Broad Street, and raise and appropriate the sum of $475.00 for this purpose, or take any other action in relation thereto.
WATER DEPARTMENT
ARTICLE 60. (At Request of Water Commissioners.) To see if the Town will vote to transfer the following tax title land of the Town of Weymouth to the Water Department, Block 645, Lot 3, Sheet 63, Block 377, Lot 1, Sheet 29 and 33, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 61. (At Request of Water Commissioners.) To see if the Town will vote to instruct its Board of Selectmen to transfer to the Board of Water Commissioners for the purpose of protecting the Town's water supply the custody of those parcels of land lying within or adjacent to the water shed of Great Pond which shall come into the possession of the Town; and certain parcels of land so situated and already owned by the Town, to wit:
1. Buildings and land on Lot 3, Block 645, as shown on Sheet 63, Town of Weymouth Atlas, revised to January 1, 1949, containing 938,700 square feet more or less; and
2. Buildings and land on Lot 6, Block 643, as shown on Sheet 63, Town of Weymouth Atlas, revised to January 1, 1949, containing 574,000 square feet more or less; and
3. Buildings and land on Lot 4, Block 644, as shown on Sheet 65, Town of Weymouth Atlas, revised to January 1, 1949, containing 620,000 square feet more or less; and
« or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 62. (At Request of Water Commissioners.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to provide adequate water mains and fire hydrant protection on streets accepted in this Town Meeting as public highways, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 63. (At Request of Everett E. Callahan.) To see if the Town will petition the Metropolitan Water Supply System for permission to enter said system at the earliest possible time.
ARTICLE 64. (At Request of Laban Pratt Hospital Trustees.) To see if the Town will vote to reserve a portion of the Town Infirmary Land "so-called" for the site of the Laban Pratt Hospital in accordance with a plan of Russell H. Whiting, Civil Engineer, dated March 24, 1950, or take any other action in relation thereto.
UNCLASSIFIED
ARTICLE 65. (At Request of Merchants of Bicknell Square.) To see if the Town will vote to accept from the School Committee a portion of the Bicknell School grounds abutting Sea Street for a public parking space. All in accordance with the plan of Town Engineer, Russell H. Whiting, dated December 30, 1950, or take any other action in relation thereto; and see if the Town will vote and appropriate the sum of $3,000.00 to prepare and black top said parking space.
ARTICLE 66. (At Request of Pond Plain Improvement Association.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to increase the auto parking facilities on Derby Street, South Weymouth, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 67. (At Request of Tree and Moth Department.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $17,000.00 for Dutch Elm Disease control work, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 68 (At Request of Tree and Moth Department.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $3,375.00 for aerial spraying for the control of mosquitoes and other insect pests, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 69. (At Request of Francis A. Gunn and Others.) To see if the Town will vote to authorize the appointment of a committee to make a study of the traffic conditions in Columbian Square, South Wey- mouth, and to recommend to the next Town Meeting definite measures to improve the handling of traffic in that section of the Town, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 70. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from available funds a sum of money to renovate the second floor of the Town Infirmary Building, to install an adequate heating system, and to enlarge the parking area, said office space to be under the supervision of the Board of Selectmen, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 71. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $200.00 to be expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen for the purpose of stocking the ponds and inland waters, located within the Town limits, with fish and of liber- ating game, all in accordance with General Laws (Ter. Ed.), Chapter 40, Section 5, Clause 41, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 72. (At Request of Weymouth Sportsmen's Club, Inc.) To see what action the Town will take relative to rebuilding or replacing the Alewife Fisheries Building.
ARTICLE 73. (At Request of Aleta M. Goodwin and Others.) To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Board of Assessors to prepare and have printed in a separate bound report a full and complete list of the individual assessments of all Real and Personal Property that makes up the levy for 1951, as shown in the Valuation List as of Januray 1, 1951; and further, that the Board of Assessors shall furnish each resident tax- payer a copy thereof, same to be delivered to his last known Weymouth address, as far as is practicable to so deliver, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 74. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 for the purpose of main- taining during the ensuing year, the mosquito control works as estimated and certified to by the State Reclamation Board in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 112, Acts of 1931.
ARTICLE 75. (At Request of Highway Building Committee.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the construction of a Highway Department Building in accordance with plans of the Highway Garage Committee, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 76. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will make an adjustment in the contract with the Garbage Collector, or take any other action in relation thereto.
