ARTICLES TO BE IN THE WARRANT


For Town Meeting, March 3d, 1890.


· ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator to preside in said meeting. ART. 2. To hear the report of the Selectmen and other town officers, and act thereon.


ART 3. To choose all necessary town officers for the ensuing year.


ART. 4. To see what sums of money the town will raise to defray its necessary and lawful expenses for the cur- rent year, and appropriate the same.


ART. 5. To establish the rate of wages for removing snow for the current year.


ART. 6. To act on the list of jurors as proposed by the Select- men.


ART. 7. To see if the town will authorize the Overseers of the Poor to contract, at their discretion, for the support of the town's poor.

Voted, That the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $100.00, to be used in repairing sidewalks and planting shade trees, said sum to be equally divided among the school districts, and spent as the Selectmen see fit.

In regard to raising and appropriating $100.00 to pay the expenses of laying out the road, under the petition of Azro, Turner, and others. (Voted to pass over.)


ARTICLE 15.

In regard to permitting the School Committee to unite the Grove and Central Street Schools. (Voted No.)

Voted, To raise and appropriate the sum of $250.00 toward employing a Superintendent of Schools in conjunction with Marshfield and Duxbury.

Voted, That the Selectmen be a committee to look into the mat- ter of re-locating the road leading from the Third Cliff to White's Ferry, and to report at a future meeting.

In regard to accepting the bridge across the North River, built by the Fourth Cliff Land Co. Referred to Selectmen.


ARTICLE 31. Voted, That the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $150.00 for special repairs on Elm Street.
