ARTICLE 19


To see if the Town will appropriate from funds in the Treasury, the amount earned by or appropriated for the Water Department, and a sum of money equal to, but not exceeding the amount of the water revenue, to meet the payments for bonds, interest, operation and improve- ment of the Water Department for the ensuing year, or take action relative thereto. -Water Commissioners


Voted, That the balance of the Water Department funds in the Treasury on January 1, 1935, amounting to $8,467.13, and an amount equal to the revenue for the ensuing year, be appropriated for the use of the Water Department, as follows:

ARTICLE 21

Every person intending to erect or construct any building the dimensions of which are in excess of 6 ft. x 8 ft. shall before commencing the same file an ap- plication for a permit with the Chairman of the Board of Assessors on forms furnished by him, giving the lo- cation including the street and lot number, if any, and the name of the record owner of the land on which the proposed structure is to be erected.


All permits issued hereunder shall expire one year from the date of issue.


A fee of twenty-five cents shall be charged for each permit and shall be paid into the town.

McDonough lot for the purpose of a parking space for the use of the taxpayers and residents of Scituate only. -Second Cliff Improvement Association.

Curtis and land of the Scituate Country Club, thence running S. 66° 28' 40" E. 278.00 feet, and bounded Northerly by land now or formerly of Albert B. Curtis ; thence turning and running S. 120° 06' 50" W. 400.00 feet, and bounded Easterly by other land of the grantor, to a point in the easterly line of Kent Street and bounded Southerly by other land of the grantor, thence turning and running N. 49° 30' 40" E. in the easterly line of Kent Street 116.91 feet and thence running on a curve to the left of a radius of 381.85 feet in the easterly line of Kent Street 294.83 feet in the easterly line of Kent Street to the point of beginning and containing 2 908/1,000 acres.

ARTICLE 57


Will the Town accept the following by-law with refer- ence to advisory committee, or act thereon :


Section 1. There shall be an Advisory Committee for the Town, which shall perform the duties set forth in the following sections of this article and be governed by the provisions of Chap. 30, Sec. 16, General Laws, Tercen- tenary Edition. Said committee shall consist of nine citizens of the town, which committee shall be appointed as provided in the following section, and no person hold- ing an elective or appointive town office shall be eligible to serve on said committee.

Immediately upon the taking effect of this by-law the Moderator shall appoint from the citizens of the Town three members whose term of office shall ex- pire at the dissolution of the annual town meeting of 1936, three members whose term of office shall expire at the dissolution of the annual town meeting of 1937, three members whose term of office shall expire at the dissolu- tion of the annual meeting of 1938; and at each annual town meeting hereafter the Moderator thereof shall ap- point from the citizens of the town three members of said committee to serve for the term of three years. The terms of office of said members shall expire at the close or dissolution of the annual town meeting at which their successors are appointed. Said committee shall choose its own officers, and shall serve without pay. Said com- mittee shall cause to be kept a true record of its pro- ceedings, and annually file a copy in the office of the Town Clerk.
