ARTICLE 40
To see if the Town will authorize and instruct the Board of Water Commissioners to accept as a gift to the Town a parcel of land from Russell J. Wilder, known a's the Cudworth Meadow and being a piece of salt- marsh bounded and described as shown in deed from W. Cleveland Cogswell, et al, to Russell J. Wilder, dated March 25, 1927, and recorded April 2, 1927, in the Ply- mouth Registry of Deeds, Book 1526, Page 269; said parcel containing 2 acres and 40 rods more or less; or take any action thereon. -Water Commissioners.
Voted, That the Town authorize and instruct the Water Commissioners to accept as a gift to the Town a parcel of land, known as the Cudworth Meadow, from Russell J. Wilder.
This parcel of land being a piece of salt-marsh bounded and described in a deed from W. Cleveland Cogswell et al to Russell J. Wilder, dated March 25, 1927, as follows: North by woodland now or formerly of Henry Mott; South by the Creek, East by marsh now or formerly of one Hyland; and West by marsh formerly of Silas Peirce and being the same piece of salt-marsh conveyed by Joseph Cudworth to John Cudworth by deed dated October 7, 1785, recorded in Plymouth Deeds B. 67, P-195, and therein described as follows: Two acres and forty rods of salt-marsh lands it being part of about one-half a lot of salt-marsh land laying and being in Scituate aforesaid and is bounded as follows :
Southeasterly upon a salt creek which goeth to the bridge crossing said creek leading to Farm Neck so called; Westerly upon a piece of salt-marsh land belong- ing to Mr. Israel Vinal, Jr .; Northerly upon a piece of

upland belonging to Mr. Ignatius Vinal; and Easterly upon a piece of salt-marsh belonging to the heirs of Mr. James Cudworth deceased.
Two acres and forty rods the Easterly side of the said half lot and to extend from said salt-marsh belong- ing to the heirs of the said James Cudworth deceased, Westerly so far as that a line from said Vinal's upland to the aforesaid creek shall include the said two acres and forty rods.
For title see deed of Stephen and Orange Litchfield to John Damon 2nd, dated January 1, 1834, recorded Plymouth Deeds B. 181, P. 100, also an indenture of partition between heirs John Damon recorded B. 110, P. 219-221. ARTICLE 41
Will the Town instruct the Selectmen to sell, with such restrictions as to occupancy and use as will adequately protect Well No. 12, a lot of land not now needed by the Water Department and situated on the Northerly side of Henry Turner Bailey Road, or act thereon. -Water Commissioners.

RESOLUTIONS FOR WILLIAM FRANCIS SMITH
Whereas, it has pleased Almighty God to call home our brother, William Francis Smith, who was a good and loyal citizen of the Town of Scituate, being deeply interested in all of the activities of the community and rendering valuable services to all of them, but more especially to the Scituate Public Health Nursing Service and to the Public Schools and having been the efficient Treasurer of the Town of Scituate from the time of his election on March 9, 1925, until the time of his death on October 14, 1935.
Be it resolved that, we, the citizens of the Town of Scituate assembled in our Annual Town Meeting on the 2nd day of March, 1936, have lost a worthy officer of our Town, as well as a generous and a loyal friend, and,
Be it further resolved that, we do hereby express our deep appreciation of the efficient services of William Francis Smith in all of his labors for the welfare of our Town, as well as for his hearty co-operation in every deserving activity of our community, and
Be it further resolved that, a copy of these resolu- tions be spread upon the records of our meeting, and that a copy be sent to his family.

To either of the constables of the Town of Scituate: Greeting:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabi- tants of the said Town who are qualified to vote in Primaries to meet in Scituate Town Hall, Tuesday, the fifteenth day of September, 1936, at six o'clock A. M. for the following purposes :
To bring in their votes to the Primary Officers for the Nomination of candidates of Political Parties for the following offices :
Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of the Commonwealth, Treasurer and Receiver General, Audi- tor of the Commonwealth, Attorney General, all for this Commonwealth.
Representative in Congress for Fifteenth Con- gressional District. Senator in Congress for Massa- chusetts. Councillor for Second Councillor District. Senator for Norfolk-Plymouth Senatorial District. One Representative in General Court for Second Representa- tive District, County Commissioner (2), Register of Pro- bate and Insolvency, Associate County Commissioner to fill vacancy, County Treasurer, all for Plymouth County.
