To see if the Town will assume liability in the manner pro- vided by Sec. 29 of Chapter 91 of the General Laws, as amended by Chapters 516 and 524, Acts of 1950, for all damages that may be incurred by work to be performed by the Department of Public Works of Massachusetts for the improvement, development, main- tenance and protection of tidal and non-tidal rivers and streams, harbors, tidewaters, foreshores and shores along a public beach out- side of Boston Harbor, including the Merrimack and Connecticut Rivers, in accordance with Sec. 11 of Chapter 91 of the General Laws, and authorize the Selectmen to execute and deliver a bond of indemnity therefor to the Commonwealth.

Will the Town vote to appropriate a sum of money from the Excess and Deficiency Account, or other available funds for the purpose of furnishing and laying a twelve inch water main begin- ning at the junction of Old Oaken Bucket Road and Chief Justice Cushing Highway, and extending toward First Parish Road, 5,000 feet on said Chief Justice Cushing Highway.

MOVED: That the additional sum of $250,000.00 be raised and appropriated for the purpose of constructing an addition to the present high school building and for originally equipping and fur- nishing the said addition, and that to meet said appropriation the sum of $10,000.00 be appropriated by transfer from available funds in the Treasury, and that the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to borrow the sum of $240,- 000.00 and to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor, payable in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 44 of the General Laws so that the whole loan shall be paid in not more than twenty years from the date of issue of the first bond or note; and that the School Building Committee appointed under authority of Article 58 of the warrant for the Town Meeting held March 4, 1950 be and hereby is authorized to enter into all contracts and agreements and to do all things that are necessary to construct, furnish and equip the addition to the building.

ARTICLE 2
To see if the Town will vote to have the Selectmen appoint a committee of five members to investigate the need for a sewerage system in certain areas of the Town. This Committee to report at the next Annual Town Meeting, and that $500.00 be taken from available funds for expenses in connection with this investigation.
