Edward Duffy, with 18 write- in votes, won a job as constable. Only two contestants had filed for three constable posts. Francis J. Lynch, with 1,864, and William B. Pepper, 268, won the other two spots.


Reynolds won a six-way race. Reynolds polled 880; the losers and their totals: Elizabeth D. Burbank, 801; Alice M. Lydon, 532; Frank R. Kent, 352; William J. Lawson, 171, and Donald J. Dwyer, 133.


Edward A. Cole won re-elec- tion over Stephen S. Andrews for park commissioner, 2011 to 660.


George W. Murphy, was elected Assessor for one year with 768 tes. Trailing were J. Arthur to the School Board for three years, defeating William J. Gillis, 1980 to 664.
