Report of Finance Committee on Articles in Town Warrant.
Article 1. To choose Town Officers for the ensuing year not elected on the Official Ballot.
Article 2. To hear the reports of all Town Officers and committees and act thereon.
Article 3. To see if the Town will authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money in anticipation of the revenue of the current year.
ARTICLE 3-The Finance Committee recommends such authorization.
Article 4. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray the Town charges for the ensuing year, and make appropriation for the same.
ARTICLE 4-The recommendations of the Finance Com- mittee for each department appear in the tables included in their report.
Article 5. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate the sum of $3,000.00 for the construction of a permanent v road on Manley Street from Walnut Street to the Brockton line provided the State will pay $6,000.00 and the County $3,000.00 toward the construction of the same.
ARTICLE 5-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.
Article 6. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- V ate the sum of $1,500.00 for the completion of the permanent road on East Street provided the State will pay $3,000.00 and the County $1,500.00 toward the construction of the same.
ARTICLE 6-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.

Article 7. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate the sum of $10,000.00 for road maintenance.
ARTICLE 7-The Finance Committee recommends the appropriation of $8,000.00 for road maintenance, exclusive of the purchase of calcium chloride called for under Article 10.
Article 8. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate $5,000.00 if the State and County will give like sum for permanent road on Copeland Street.
ARTICLE 8-The Finance Committee does not recommend the construction of this road this year.
Article 9. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate the sum of $500.00 for repairs on Bedford Street.
ARTICLE 9-The Finance Committee does not recommend favorable action for reasons stated in their report.
Article 10. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate the sum of $1,000.00 for chloride to be used on streets.
ARTICLE 10-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.
Article 11. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $1,000.00 for Black Top sidewalk on the north side of West Centre Street, beginning at Howard Street and going westerly as far as the appropriation will go.
ARTICLE 11-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action, and that the construction be put out to contract.
Article 12. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $1,000.00 for the continuance of the sidewalk on the West side of North Elm Street.
ARTICLE 12-The Finance Committee recommends the sum of $1,500.00 be appropriated this year for the pur- pose of this Article and that the construction be put out to contract.

Article 13. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money to build a sidewalk from Howard Street to Matfield Street.
ARTICLE 13-The Finance Committee does not recom- mend this construction this year.
Article 14. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate a sum of money to install one street light on Copeland Street between the Brockton line and Barker's farm.
ARTICLE 14-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.
Article 15. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate a sum of money to install three street lights on East Street between McFadden's Crossing and George Reed's house.
ARTICLE 15-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.
Article 16. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate a sum of money to install one street light at the corner of Ellis Avenue and West Centre Street.
ARTICLE 16-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.
Article 17. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate a sum of money to install one street light on South Street at the entrance to the Nunkatessett Canoe Club.

Article 18. To see if the Town will install three street lights on Cross Street and appropriate money for the same.
ARTICLE 18-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action providing one light be placed at the corner of Forest and Cross Streets.

Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to install one street light on Sunset Avenue, said light to be placed on pole in front of the residence of Mrs. Ellen Johnson and appro- priate money for the same.
ARTICLE 19-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.
Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to install street lights on Brooks Place beginning at the third pole beyond Merritt Street and proceeding westward and appropriate money for the same.
ARTICLE 20-The Finance Committee recommends the installation of five street lights.
Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to install one street light on Merritt Street on the pole nearly opposite the residence of Warren A. Pratt and appropriate money for the same.
ARTICLE 21-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.
Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to install three street lights on Bedford Street between the Thomas Luddy residence and the home of Leo Lupien and appropriate money for the same.
ARTICLE 22-The Finance Committee recommends the installation of four street lights one to be installed at the bend of the road near the residence of Thomas Luddy.
Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to install two street lights on Keenan Street, one at the intersection of Columbus Avenue, the other opposite the house of Henry Balboni, and appropriate money for the same.
ARTICLE 23-The Finance Committee recommends two street lights, one at the intersection of Columbus Avenue- the other on the third pole easterly thereof.

Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to install two street lights on Columbus Avenue, one opposite the house of James Molito, the other opposite the house of Michael O'Fallon.
ARTICLE 24-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.
Article 25. To see if the Town will vote to sell to the Every Ready Circle of the Baptist Church, for the West Bridgewater Baptist Church, the parcel of land in the rear of the church lot, bounded on two sides by stone walls, the west side by back fence of the church lot, the north side to be the continuation of the present line of the church lot to rear stone wall.
ARTICLE 25-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action, and that negotiations be handled by the Selectmen.
Article 26. To hear the report of the By-Law Commit- tee and act thereon; to take action relative to the repeal or modification of existing by-laws, or the adoption of new by- laws; to appropriate money for the publication of by-laws, or for any other expense incident to the adoption of by-laws; or to take any other action relative to by-laws.
ARTICLE 26-Referred to the voters at the Town Meeting.
Article 27. To see what action, if any, the Town will take in regard to the letting of the Town Hall.
ARTICLE 27-Finance Committee recommends that this matter be left in the hands of the Selectmen for action.
Article 28. To see what action, if any, the Town will take in regard to the letting of the Town Hall for the purpose of playing basketball.
ARTICLE 28-Finance Committee recommends that this matter be left in the hands of the Selectmen for action.

Article 29. To see what amount the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the use of the Plymouth County Trustees for County Aid to Agriculture and choose a Town Director as provided in Sections 41 and 45 of Revised Chap- ter 128 of the General Laws and act thereon.
ARTICLE 29-The Finance Committee recommends the appropriation of $100.00 for this purpose.
Article 30. To see if the Town will vote to allow the Parent-Teacher Association the use of the Town Hall free of charge, for the purpose of holding one meeting each month for a period of at least one year.
ARTICLE 30-Referred to the voters at the Town Meeting.
Article 31. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $8,700.00 from Water Revenue for the mainten- ance of the Water Department.
ARTICLE 31-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.
Article 32. To see if the Town will vote to purchase a gravel crusher, carrier, hopper and screen and appropriate $7,500.00 for the same.
ARTICLE 32-The Finance Committee does not recom- mend favorable action.
Article 33. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate $978.72 for maintenance of Plymouth County Hospital. Per order of County Commissioners.
ARTICLE 33-The Finance Committee recommends favor- able action.
Article 34. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from Water Revenue the sum of $7,494.00 to pay Water Bonds and Interest due in 1930.

Article 35. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate the sum of three hundred ($300.00) dollars for the main- tenance of Visiting Nurse service in West Bridgewater.

Article 36. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate the sum of $1,600.00 for the purpose of applying two coats of Tarvia B Standard gravel road treatment on South Street from junction of River Street to end of new gravel, distance about 4,200 feet.
ARTICLE 36-The Finance Committee recommends the appropriation of $1,600.00 to scarify, properly grade and roll, and apply two coats of Standard Tarvia B.
Article 37. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate $100.00 for the use of the Town Safety Committee.

Article 38. To see if the Town will accept the provisions of G. L. 31, Section 48, thereby placing under civil service its police force.

To elect the following Town Officers by Official Ballot: One Town Clerk for one year, one Moderator for one year, one Assessor for three years, one Selectman for three years, one member of the Board of Public Welfare for three years, one Treasurer for one year, one Tax Collec- tor for one year, one Water Commissioner for three years, two School Committee for three years, two Trustees of Pub- lic Library for three years, one Tree Warden for one year, two Constables for one year.
Polls will be open at 9 o'clock in the forenoon of March 10 and will be closed at 8 o'clock p. m.
