Chas. P. Davis moved that the Selectmen be authorized and instructed to provide a water supply for the Center and South End schools in Agawam at a cost not to exceed seventy-five dollars, and that that amount be appropriated for the same.
Voted-To amend by the addition of the words "and West Street " after the words "South End."

ARTICLE II. To see if the town will rescind the vote taken at the last annual town meeting relative to the School Superintendency District or do anything in relation to the same.

A. P. Loomis moved that one hundred and fifty dollars be appro- priated and expended under the direction of the Selectmen in building a board fence near half way hill in Feeding Hills.
Jas. H. Clark moved as an amendment, that it be left to the discretion of the Selectmen and that the amount expended be taken from the special highway appropriation.

ARTICLE 17. To see if the town will vote to appropriate money to pay a proper charge of an insurance company, for acting as surety on the official bond of any of its officers.

Voted-On motion of A. P. Loomis to appropriate a sum not to exceed two thousand dollars additional to a sum already appropriated for building the Agawam bridge, two-thirds present voting in the affirmative.
James W. Moore questioned the legality of the meeting on the ground that it had not been legally warned.
Voted-On motion of J. W. Moore that the Selectmen be given authority to proceed to act with the Selectmen of West Springfield to carry out the legal votes of the town in regard to construction of the Agawam bridge.
Voted-On motion of J. W. Moore that the sum of fifteen hundred dollars appropriated for special highway work be expended by the Selectmen at their discretion for the benefit of the town.

GREETING :- In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to warn and notify the inhabitants of the Town of Agawam qualified to vote in elections, to meet in their respective polling places, viz : Those resident in Precinct A, in the basement of the school house situated in said precinct and those resident in Precinct B, in the Town Hall in Feeding Hills, on Tuesday the seventh day of November next, it being the Tuesday next after the first Monday in said month, then and there to bring in their votes for Governor, Lieutenant-Governor, Secretary, Treas- urer, Auditor, Attorney-General, Councilor for the Eighth District, Senator for the Second Hampden District, Representative in the General Court for the Second Hampden District, and County Commissioner for Hampden County.
The polls will be opened at six o'clock A. M. and may be closed in four hours, and must be closed before sunset.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereof, one in each Postoffice and one in the store of Her- mengilde Letellier in said Town at least seven days before the time of holding said election. Hereof fail not and make due return of

At a meeting of the Town Clerks of the several towns comprising the Second Hampden Representative District held at the Court House in Springfield at twelve o'clock (noon), on Friday, November seventeen, eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, the transcripts were examined and compared and the whole number of ballots cast for Representative in said district were found to be ten hundred and forty-four, of which Charles C. ARLICLE 2. To see if the town desires Springfield street laid out three rods or four rods wide under the petition now pending before the County Commissioners and take all proper votes thereon.
James W. Moore, presented resolutions and moved their adoption, which motion was seconded.
T. M. Roberts moved that the resolutions be read section by section and amended if the meeting so desires.
The resolutions as amended were adop ed and were as follows :-
Resolved. That the citizens of Agawam, in Town Meeting assembled, view the highway crossing on Springfield street over the tracks of the Hartford and Connecticut Western Railroad as insuffi- cient and inadequate to the safety and convenience of public travel.
Resolved. That our Selectmen are hereby instructed to request the County Commissioners to so modify their decree as to cause the approaches to said crossing to be extended on the northerly side thereof so that the roadway shall be thirty feet wide thereon.

Resolved. That common convenience and necessity require that said approaches be hardened with stone or other suitable material.
Resolved. That we deem it expedient to have Springfield street laid out four rods wide.
Resolved. That the Selectmen be allowed to expend such sum as shall be necessary to effect the improvement of said Springfield street as aforesaid.
Voted-On motion of A. P. Loomis that this meeting be dissolved.
