It is a pleasure to state that out of our appropriation of $616.00 (of which $100 was for postage, and $110.00 for telephone service) we are returning $189.11 to the Treas- ury ; and from the appropriation of $300.00, Vital Statistics account, we are returning $102.31.

We are glad to report that we are to receive a new set of leatheroid cases, with proper sealing device, for the safe and proper lawful protection of "Cast Ballots" and "Unused ยท Ballots" after an election.

The necessary cards in connection with recording Births, Marriages, and Deaths, have reached a number be- yond our capacity to properly file in our present equipment,

which will necessitate a capital outlay the coming year to provide the proper metal cabinet to care for at least 100,000 cards.

I gratefully acknowledge splendid cooperation from all departments of the town, and the perfect and faithful ser- vice of my two assistants Miss Edith L. Hearsey, and Miss Clara L. White.

Respectfully submitted,

EARL A. RYDER, Town Clerk.
