On motion of Mr. Chamberlain:

hundred thirty-seven and 50/100 (2,337.50) dollars be and hereby is appropriated on account of interest and other charges on account thereof; that the further sum of ten thousand three hundred thirty-one and 75/100 (10,331.75) dollars be and hereby is appropriated for the Town's share of the net cost of care, maintenance, and repairs of the Middle- sex County Hospital, including interest on temporary notes issued therefor, in accordance with sections of Chapter 111 of the General Laws applicable thereto; and that said sums totaling twenty-two thousand six hundred sixty-nine and 25/100 (22,669.25) dollars be raised by general tax and ex- pended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen.


There being no further business under Article 2 the Moderator declared Article 2 disposed of.


Article 3 taken up. (W. P. A. Projects)


After lengthy discussion Mr. Cutler moved the previous question and on a rising vote, 155 voting in the affirmative and 21 in the negative it prevailed.


On motion duly made and seconded it was -


Voted: That the sum of forty-six thousand (46,000) dol- lars be and hereby is appropriated to defray the neccessary engineering, trucking and other expenses, and to purchase tools, equipment and materials for carrying on certain public works and improvements in connection with Works Progress Administration projects; said sum to be raised by general tax and expended under the direction of the Board of Select- men. In case said funds are no longer required for Works Progress Administration projects, the balance may be expen- ded by the several departments to relieve unemployment to the extent approved by the Selectmen.


There being no further business under Article 3 the Moderator declared Article 3 disposed of.

ADJOURNED TOWN MEETING


March 31, 1937.


Pursuant to the vote of adjournment on March 19, 1937 the Town Meeting Members met in the Town Hall on Wed- nesday, March 31, 1937 at 8:00 P. M., notices having been sent by mail to the Town Meeting Members, and posted in the various precincts.


Lists of the duly qualified Town Meeting Members was used at the entrances of the meeting place and were in charge of Philip T. Robinson and James E. Sweeney.


The check lists filed with the Town Clerk at the close of the meeting showed that one hundred and seventy-seven members attended the meeting.


The Moderator called the meeting to order at 8:10 P. M.


Town Meeting Members not already sworn were sworn by the Moderator.


Mr. Estabrook requested that Selectman Lowe, Secre- tary Golden and Town Counsel White be permitted to sit with the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, which was granted.


On motion of Mr. Estabrook:

Voted: (Unanimously) That the laying out of a town way from Bow Street to Blossom Street, substantially in the location of the private way known as Lennon Road, as more particularly described in Article 15 of the warrant under the provisions of law authorizing the assessment of betterments, as made and reported by the Joint Board of Selectmen and Board of Public Works, be accepted, said way established and said Joint Board authorized to take land for the purpose of said way.


There being no further business under Article 15 the Moderator declared it disposed of.


Article 16 taken up. (Laying Out of Parker Street.)


Voted (Unanimously) That the laying out of a town way from Mary Street to Dorothy Road, substantially in the location of the private way known as Parker Street, as more particularly described in Article 16 of the Warrant, under the provisions of law authorizing the assessment of better- ments, as made and reported by the Joint Board of Select- men and Board of Public Works, be accepted, said way es- tablished and said Joint Board authorized to take land for the purpose of said way. ,


There being no further business under Article 16 the Moderator declared it disposed of.


Article 17 taken up. (Laying Out of Richheld Road)
