Article 37. To see if the Town will petition the General Court for authority to sell, convey or otherwise dispose of the parcel of land hereinafter described, which is now part of the public parks within the Town, to the Arlington Housing Authority for the use of the said Housing Authority to erect buildings for housing for aged citizens of Arlington; and will vote to authorize and direct the Board of Selectmen to sell, convey or otherwise dispose of said parcel to the Arlington Housing Authority for said use as above described; or take any action relating thereto.


Said parcel of land is bounded and described as follows:


Beginning at a point on northerly boundary of land belonging to the Boston & Maine Railroad at the intersection of land in Lexington and land of the Town of Arlington; thence easterly on said northerly side line of land belonging to the Boston & Maine Railroad a distance . of 400 feet more or less to an angle point; then northeasterly a dis-

To see if the Town will amend its zoning by-laws by altering the zoning map therein referred to so as to include in the Residence C District all or any part of the area now included in land owned by the Town of Arlington for park purposes and located be- tween Mill Brook, Boston & Maine Railroad and the Lexington Town Line, bounded and described as follows:


Beginning at a point on northerly boundary of land belonging to the Boston & Maine Railroad at the intersection of land in Lexington and land of the Town of Arlington; thence easterly on said northerly side line of land belonging to the Boston & Maine Railroad a distance of 400 feet more or less to an angle point; then northeasterly a dis- tance of 160 feet more or less to a point; thence northeasterly again a distance of 160 feet more or less to an angle point; thence north- westerly 50 feet more or less to a point; thence northwesterly 120 feet more or less to a point on the south bank of Mill Brook; thence northwesterly again 190 feet more or less to an angle point on the Lexington Line; thence southwesterly along said Lexington Town Line 620 feet to the point of beginning and containing about 155,100 square feet more or less as shown on plan of land on file with the office of the Town Engineer, Arlington, Mass., and entitled, "Study Plan - Reservoir Playground & Vicinity - Scale 1"=80' - January 1955 - James M. Article 39. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the Extension of the Sewerage System; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.


Article 40. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the Extension of Water Mains; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.


Article 41. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the Extension of Storm Drains; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.


Article 42. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for Improvement of Volume and Pressure - Water System; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.

Article 45. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the extension of a surface drain in Cemetery Street, Town-owned land, and Garden Street; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.


Article 46. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for paving a portion of Town-owned land adjacent to the Old Town Hall for off-street parking purposes; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.


Article 47. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the installation of pedestrian actuated traffic signals on Massachusetts Avenue at Appleton Street; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.


Article 48. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the relocation, alteration and widening, construction of, specific re- pairs upon and improvement of all or any parts of Pleasant Street and Park Avenue, within the town as now existing or hereafter re- located, altered and widened, including land damages, if any, under the provisions of law authorizing the assessment of betterments or otherwise; said appropriation to be used with any sum or sums which may be allotted by the Commonwealth or County of Middlesex, or both, for such purpose or purposes; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action in any way relative to all or any of the foregoing.


Article 49. To see if the Town will accept the laying out of a Town way from Massachusetts Avenue to Hobbs Court, substantially in the location of the private way known as Quinn Road, as made and filed in the office of the Town Clerk by the Board of Selectmen under the provisions of law authorizing the assessment of betterments; es- ablish said way; make an appropriation for said laying out and the construction of said way; determine in what manner the money shall be raised; or take any action relating thereto.


Said way as so laid out is bounded and described as follows:
