Said parcel is bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the southwesterly corner of the parcel on the Northerly side of East Street; thence northerly along the stonewall and land of the Tewksbury Cemetery Corporation about five hundred and twenty (520) feet to land formerly of the Lowell and Lawrence Railroad; thence easterly three hundred and thirty-four (334) feet to an iron pipe; thence southerly about four hundred and twenty feet (420) to an iron pipe; thence westerly ninety (90) feet, more or less, to the northeast corner of land of A. W. Pendleton; thence still westerly along the northern side of said Pendleton land one hundred (100) feet; thence still westerly thirty (30) feet to an iron pipe; thence southerly one hundred (100) feet to East Street; thence westerly about one hundred fourteen (114) feet to the point of the beginning. Being a part of the premises conveyed to Walter J. Robinson by deed of Albert S. Briggs dated July 9, 1912 and recorded in Middlesex North District Registry of Deeds, Book 490, Page 720.


Mr. Ralph J. Tousignant appointed and sworn as a Teller by the Moderator to act with Mr. Berube and count of the vote was taken; forty-six in favor, twenty-seven opposed.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING


Town Hall, Tewksbury, Massachusetts


May 10, 1940


Meeting called to order at eight o'clock P. M. by Moderator Melvin G. Rogers. Check list used and a necessary quorum was found to be present. The following business was transacted:


ART. 1. Motion by Franklin F. Spaulding that the sums of $700.00, $150.00, $230.00 and $20.00, making a total of $1,100.00, be appro- priated. Seconded.


Amendment accepted that the amount appropriated be paid out of Surplus Balances.


Motion by John T. Gale that $6,000.00 be appropriated for this Article. (Not Seconded.)


Motion by John Belton that the sum of $3,500.00 be appropriated for the purposes outlined in Article 1, said amount to be paid out of Surplus Balances. Seconded.


Voted unanimously that the above motion be adopted.


ART. 2. VOTED: That the Town authorize the present Treasurer or any subsequent Treasurer to sell with the consent of the Board of Selectmen, or any subsequent Board of Selectmen, lots acquired by the foreclosure of tax titles under Section 79 and 80 of Chapter 60 of the General Laws of Massachusetts, Tercentenary Edition, 1932, whenever said tax title does not exceed $15.00 in unpaid charges thereon, for such sum as may in their judgement be ad- vantageous to the Town.

In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Tewksbury, qualified to vote in Town affairs, to meet and assemble at the Town Hall in said Tewksbury,
