It is gratifying to be able to state that we closed the year 1943 with a much brighter picture on the automobile accident situation. We had fewer accidents and no fatalities, which places Tewksbury back on the Honor Roll of the National Traffic Safety Council, which is the first time since 1936.

I wish to call your attention to the much talked of Juvenile De- linquency condition, in Tewksbury. I am happy to report that our juvenile situation is in excellent condition, and I feel with the proper cooperation it will remain that way.

I wish to take this opportunity to extend my thanks to the men- bers of the Board of Selectmen and to the members of the Police and Auxiliary Police Department for their cooperation and the loyal man- ner in which they served the people during the year.
