25th. Voted, to appropriate the sum of fifty dollars ($50) to commemorate Memorial Day.

BY-LAWS.
ARTICLE 1. The Town of Westford hereby avails itself of the several provisions of the statutes of this Commonwealth now in force relative to habitual truants, absentees from school, and such children as persistently violate the reasonable rules and regulations of the public schools.
ARTICLE 2. The County Truant School at North Chelmsford is hereby assigned as the place for the restraint, discipline and instruc- tion of children described in Article 1.
ARTICLE 3. All by-laws heretofore adopted by the Town of Westford which are inconsistent with the above are hereby repealed.
29th. Voted, to change the time of holding the annual Town Meeting from the third Monday in March to the first Monday in April, to take effect next year.
30th. Voted, to dismiss the 27th article, which relates to the length of sessions of public schools.
31st. Voted, to dismiss the 28th article, which relates to recesses in our public schools.
32d. Voted, to make the salary of the Town Treasurer one hundred dollars ($100) per year.
33d. Voted, that the Town have suitable dedication exercises on the completion of the J. V. Fletcher Library ; that the sum of six hundred dollars ($600) be raised and appropriated to defray the expense of said dedication ; and that the present committee chosen to contract and erect said building be continued as a committee on dedication of J. V. Fletcher Library with full power to to appoint sub committees from among the citizens of Westford, and that the said committee be authorized to accept the building in behalf of the Town as the J. V. Fletcher Library.
