CHARLES O. PRESCOTT, Treasurer.
MIDDLESEX, SS. WESTFORD, MASS., February 12, 1913.
Then personally appeared Charles O. Prescott and made oath that the above is a true statement of the cost of construction of the Westford Water Supply System to January 1, 1913, and of the receipts and expenditures of the Westford Water Company from January 1, 1912 to January 1, 1913, before me.
JOHN M. FLETCHER,
Notary Public.
Report of the Committee in Charge of the Whitney Playground.
It was found in the spring that considerable damage had been occasioned to the grounds by reason of the loose earth which had not become sufficiently sodded, being washed, in several places, into the drains. For that reason, it was necessary to incur considerable expense in order to restore the premises to their former condition. This work was completed and the grounds were rolled, with the result that the same have been kept in a very satisfactory condition during the past season.
The arms on the giant stride had to be replaced, and it will be necessary, during the coming season, to make some changes in the shrubbery, and to supply the swings with new ropes.
Your committee is very much pleased to note an increased use of the grounds during the passed year, and the usefulness of the same seems to become more and more apparent as time goes on.
The investments made of the funds remain unchanged.
The following is a statement of the receipts and expenditures:

Library Report.
The Trustees of the J. V. Fletcher Public Library respectfully submit the following report for the year ending February 1, 1913.
There has been no especial change in the affairs of the Library during the past year.
As will be seen from the Librarian's report, the circulation remains about the same as in previous years. It is interesting, however, to note that the books taken from the children's depart- ment form more than one-third of the entire circulation.
Among the books added during the year, we would call attention to a number on farming, fruit culture and poultry raising.
Owing to the removal from Town of Mr. Dexter E. Coggeshall, during the past summer, a vacancy was caused in the Board of Trustees. At a joint meeting of the Selectmen and the Trustees, Mr. John P. Wright was chosen to fill this vacancy for the re- mainder of the year.
The Trustees ask for the following appropriations, viz:
1. The unexpended balances as shown by the financial statement.
2. The sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000) to meet current expenses.
3. The receipts from the dog licenses in 1913.
