Provided That the South Westerly end of sd Building next unto the sd Babbages house be Carried up with a Brick Wall.
[8.] To James Gooch to Ereet a Building with Timber in Addition to the Easterly end of his Dwelling house on his Land nigh unto Mr James Barnes his Wharff in Boston, said Building to be 28 foot long 20 Wide & 22 studd with a Flatt roof & is to stand in the room and stead of One End of his sd Dwelling house of the same Length and Breadth now there standing the which he Intends to Demollish & for the better Security in Case of ffire, he will place & Maintain Battlements round the Roof of the whole House.

[10.] To John Clark Esq' to Erect a Timber Building for a shop of 15 foot long 12 wide and 8 studd with a flatt Roof on his Wharff over agt the Shop in his owu Occupation at the North End of Boston. sd Building to stand One side thereof joining to that his Shop now iu the Tenure of Erasmas Stevens joyner One end thereof abutting on the Street or highway & the Northerly side thereof towards his Warehouse & about 30 foot distant from the same & he will Lower the front side of the Roof of the sd Stevens's shop. & make it to Range with the Roof of sd New Building now to be Erected, & that he will not hereafter make any Addition to the height of either of sd Shops.
[11.] To Joseph Hiller to Erect a Timber Building of 30 foot long 13 wide & 22 studd with a flatt Roof. which with the Addi- tion of his Old Porch to the Length thereof he designs to join to the front side of that his House formerly the Mansion house of Governour Bellingham in Boston & for the Enlargement of the Street there he will add thereto a strip of Land, on which part of his Old Buildings now stands and for the better security in case of fire he will leave an Alley of 5 foot wide between his said Build- ings and the house of Mr Wm Gibbons & (Excepting the Porch) he will Demollish the other Old Buildings now standing on the front of the sd Mansion house & he will make and Maintaine Bat- tlemts round the Roof of sd houses
Provided he add four foot to the Street along the whole front, of the abovementioned House.
[12.] To Thomas Miller of Boston Marriner to Erect a Timber Building for a Dwelling house of 40 foot long 20 wide & 17 studd on his Land formerly the Land of Mr Wm Day des'd. Scituate and butting on the Lane Called Henchmans Lane at the North End of Boston Over agt the Dwelling house of Mrs Johanna Buckley the wch building to stand on the North West side of his sd Land & will be 40 foot distant from sd Mrs Buckleys house & 40 foot distant from the house on the North East end thereof in which Samuel Avis now Dwells & the South West end of said New Building will be 50 foot distant from the house of Mr Walter Gut- teridge unto weh he intends to remove his Old house & join thereto as a Kitchen. wch Old house now stands about 10 foot distant from sª Mrs Buckleys & when removed as aforesd will then stand full 24 foot distant from sd Gutteridges house & more from any other Building.
Provided that on the South West end of sd Building he carry up a Brick Wall, and that the sd wall be carried higher then the timber Work of the Roofs.

too for a Kitchen, on the North side thereof of the same Length wth sd house & 9 foot wide, on his Land being part of that weh formerly was Bennetts Pasture at the North end of Boston between the Land of Mr Jolin Love and ye Land of Mr John Clough, sd building to stand with the Southerly side thereof fronting to the New Street leading from Mr Jonas Clarks to the Green Lane & will be fforty foot distant from any other building now standing.

[14.] To Joseph Hiller to Erect a timber Building of 43 foot long 13 wide and 22 studd & to Cover the same with a flatt Roof sd Building to stand joiniug in Addition to the ffront or South East- erly side of that his house which formerly was the Mansion house of Gov" Richard Bellingham desd. Seituate & butting on the great Street leading from the Town Doek towards the Old Meeting house in Boston sd building to stand in the room and stead of some Old buildings there now standing the wch he intends to Demollish, all Exeept an Old porch there standing being an Intire building of 18 foot long & 13 wide the wch. he intends to remove into his Garden or Baekside and place the same Ten foot distant from the Corner of yt his house there in which Mr Jº Cotta jun" now Dwells & for the better Security in ease of ffire he will leave Vaeaut from any building an Alley way of 5 foot wide between his sd house and the house of Mr Wm Gibbons & he will make and Maintain Battlem' round the Roof of his sd Dwelling honse which probably may be a better Defence from the spreading of ffire than to uphold and Improve sd buildings as they now stand and further lie proposeth that in Case he shall obtain Lycenee for what he is now about to Ask he will leave out of his Land on which sd old buildings now stand as an Addition to the highway a strip of the whole front of his Land of two foot wide at the Corner or End next Mr John Kilbys shop, and to Extend from thence on a Streight Line to ye Northeastly Corner of sd Mr Gibbins's house which will Enlarge the Street in breadth there about ffive foot.

[15.] To Nathaniel Ayres of Boston to Ereet a Timber build- ing for a dwelling house of 40 foot long 21 wide & 24 stud wth an Additional Building for a Kitchen to join on the Westerly end thereof of 20 foot long 16 wide & 16 studd on his Land Scituate between the Briek Stables belonging to Mr Spencer Phipps & the Dwelling house of Mr Daniel Berry at the North end of Boston, said building to stand wth the Easterly end thereof butting on the highway known by the Name of the Green Lane, the Northerly side thereof to join on the sd Stable & Land of sd Mr Phipps, the Southerly side thereof next the house of said Mr Berry & 40 foot distant from the same.

Dwelling house of Mr Wm Hobby and the Dwelling house of Mrs Dorcas Peggy, the said Building to stand with the North West end thereof fronting to the Street Commonly called, the Green Lane, the wch Building will stand 40 foot distant from the sd Mr Hobbys house (which is by farr the nearest of any building there now standing) Together with an Additional building of 18 feet long 12 wide & 15 studd for a Kitchen to join on the Easterly end thereof.
Provided he make & Maintain Battlements round the Roof for Defence in Case of flire.
[1%.] To Zachariah Wire to Erect a Timber Building for a Dwelling house of 23 foot long 18 wide, & 16 studd on his Land being part of that which Formerly was Mr John Loves Pasture at the North End of Boston butting on the Lane leading from the house of Mr John Stevens down into sd Pasture, sd building to stand with the Easterly end thereof joining to the Dwelling house of Benjamin Brown, and the Westerly end next the house of Mr Townsend Blockmaker and 10 foot distant from the same, And for the better Security in Case of fire, he will carry up the sd two ends with Brick Wall.
Provided that he carry np the Brick Wall next the said Browns house. two foot higher than the highest of the said two houses.
[18.] To Joseph Lord to Erect a Timber Building for a Kit- chen of 17 foot long 15 wide and 14 Studd on his Land to join in Addition to the South Easterly Corner of that his house which formerly was the Dwelling house of Widow Burrington, fronting on Coneys Lane in Boston, the sd Building to be in the room and stead of an Old Kitchen of 16 foot long and 9 Wide now there standing, the which he Intends to Demollish.
October the 9th 1707.
[19.] To John Mico to Erect a timber Building for a Kitchen of 19 foot long 18 wide & 15 stud with a flatt Roof to stand about 15 foot Distant from the Southerly side of his New house lately Erected, Scituate at the upper end of School house Lane over agt the Queens Chappel in Boston.
[20.] To Jonathan Loring to Erect a Timber building in Addition to his Dwelling house it being for a Kitchen of 12 foot wide to the breadth of his said house which he lately had Liberty to build at the North end of the Town.

[21.] To William Tilley of Boston Ropemaker to Erect, three Several Wooden buildings for Work houses each of them to be Twenty foot long 15 wide & 12 Studd on a peice or Strip of Land which he hires for a Rope Walk of Eliakim Hutchinson Esq' being on the South Westerly side of that his Pasture nigh unto the Fort Hill in Boston, the sd buildings to stand Onc at each end of the sd Strip of Land and the other about the Middle thereof - And also to Erect a Leantoo of 20 foot long 13 wide and 14 studd to join on the North side of his Dwelling house Scituate nigh unto

the Sign of the Bull at the South end of Boston being on that side farr distant from any other Building.
[22.] To Ebenezer Clough to Erect a Timber building for a Dwelling house of 40 foot long 19 wide and 17 studd on his Land being part of that which was Mr John Loves pasture at the North End of Boston, sª building to stand on his said Land butting Southwesterly on the New Street leading from the house of Mr Jolin Stevens down unto the lower side . of the sd pasture ; North West on the Land of the sd Mr John Love South Easterly on the Land of Capt David Robinson, the which building will stand 50 foot distant from any other building there standing.
Provided the sd building be Erected before any other building be set up within 50 foot of the sª spott of Ground on which he places the same.
[23.] To William Holloway to Ereet a Timber building for a Smiths shop of 30 foot long 22 wide & 10 studd on his Land or Wharff nigh unto his building yard at the South Easterly side of Boston in the place & stead of an Old Smiths Shop now there standing of 24 foot long and 20 foot wide (in the present tenure & Occupation of William Pain) the weh he intends to Demolish.

[24.] To James Varney to Erect a Timber building for a Dwelling house of 38 foot long 20 Wide & 22 studd wth a flatt roof on his Land Scituate between the house & Land of Wido Wilkins on the North West & a Small Tenemt. formerly belonging to Capt Wm Greenough deced now in the Tenure of - Porter on the South
- East at the North End of Boston sd building to stand One end thereof butting South Westerly on the Street or highway leading from Mrs Huldah Rainsfords house to the North Burying place, the North Easterly end thereof butting on a peiee of Vacant Land being on that side more than One huudred foot Distant from any other building, the Northwesterly side thereof to stand four foot distant from the sd Wilkins house & the South Easterly side to stand 17 foot distaut from the house in wch the sd Porter Dwells, And for the better Security thereof in Case of fire he will carry up the whole side of the sd building next unto the Wilkins's with a Briek Wall, the wch Wall shall extend 2 foot higher than any of the Timber Work of the said building, and also he will make & maintain battlemts round the roof of the sd buildings.

[25.] To Samuel Wentworth to Ereet a Timber Building for a Warehouse of 20 foot Square & 20 studd with a flatt roof on a peiee of Wharff which he hires (for thirty years) of Mr James Barton Seituate next the Cove nigh unto the Mill Creek below the Draw Bridge in Boston, sd building to stand joining to the Westerly end of an Old Warehouse now in the Tenure of sd Went- worth below the sd Bartons other buildings the Northerly & Southerly sides thereof will stand far Distant from any other buildings the Westerly end will stand 16 foot distant from any

building on that side the which end he will carry up with a Brick Wall the which Wall shall Extend two foot higher than any of the Timber Work of the sd building. Aud whereas there is now stand- ing an Old building of 20 foot long 13 iu breadth & 7 studd on the same spott where he places said new building he will remove the same on the North side of the aforesd Old Warehouse without making any Addition to the height thereof.

[26.] To Joseph Belcher to Erect a Timber building for a Dwelling house of 40 foot long 20 wide and 18 Studd on this Land Scitnate between the Dwelling house in the present tenure of Widow Cooke on the Sonth & six foot distant from the same & to join unto the Dwelling house of Wido Hannah Waters on the North, the sd building to stand with the South Easterly end thereof butting on the Broad street or highway nigh Over agt the house of Chris- topher Holland deced at the North end of Boston, and for the better security thereof in case of fire he will carry up the North & South sides of the sd building with a Brick Wall, the which Wall on the South side shall Extend three foot higher than any of the Timber work thereof.
May the 12th 1708.
[2].] To Robert Calef jun' to Erect a Timber building of 18 foot Square at the Sontherly end of the Town of Boston which is in Addition to a Timber building which Winsor Goulding had per- mission from the Justices withiu the sd Town sometime in the Month of April 1707. [29.] To Zachariah Triscot to Erect a Timber building for a Dwelling house of 28 foot long 18 wide & 24 studd with a flat roof on his Land being part of the Pasture weh was formerly belonging to Samuel Lynde Esq' Scituate nigh over against the house of Mr Daniel Epps at the South end of Boston.
The sd building to stand with One end thercof fronting to the broad street. and the Southerly side thereof fronting towards a New honse now about to be Erected for Gilbert Endicot & 40 foot distant therefrom, & further Distant from any other building.
[30.] To Gilbert Endicot of Dorchester to Erect a Timber building for a Dwelling house of 30 foot long 20 wide & 22 studd with a flatt roof on his Land scituate at ye South end of Boston nigh Over agt the Dwelling house of Mr Daniel Epps being part of that pasture there which was formerly belonging to Samuel Lynde Esq' the sd building to stand with the Northwest end thereof front-

[31.] To Thomas Hobart to Ercet a Timber building for a Malt house of Sixty five foot long 20 wide & 10 studd with a Return in form of an L. of 12 foot in length to join on the Easterly end of the same, on a piece of Vacant land which he Hires of Samuel 'Sewall Esq" scituate on the Westerly side of Linck alley nigh the Mill pond in Boston, the sd building to stand with the Westerly end thereof towards the Mill pond, and the Northerly corner thereof 54 foot distant from the Water Mill, and the Southerly Corner 28 foot distant from an Old house belonging to Arthur Hale and further Distant from any other building.
[32.] To Joseph Allen to Erect a Timber building for a Shop or workhouse of 24 foot long 16 wide & 14 studd with a flat roof to join in addition to the Northerly side of his Dwelling house which he lately purchased of Dr Thomas Oakes scituate at the Northerly end of Newbury street in Boston (where there now stands a Shop of about 12 foot Square the which lie Intends to Demolish) the sd building to stand 60 foot Distant from any other building on that side.

[33.]' To Samuel Collins, Walter Newbury & Thomas Rich- ardson in behalf of the People Called Quakers to Erect a Timber building for a Meeting house purposely for the Worship of Almighty God, of 35 foot long & 30 broad, about 20 studd with a flat roof and no Chimney on a Certain peice of Land belonging formerly to the Estate of Gov' Leveret deced Scituate in Boston between the house in which Henry Franklyn now Dwells & the house wch formerly was the Dwelling house of Capt John Wing deced the sd building to stand about Tenn foot from the Lane or highway and on the North side of sª Lot being at least fifty foot from any Dwelling house on either side.
[34.] To Benjamin Bronsdon to Erect a Timber building for a Storehouse of 60 foot long 15 wide & 7 studd on his Wharff below his Warehouse in Ship street in Boston, the sª building to stand with the Northwesterly End thereof 40 foot Distant below his other building & the South Easterly end thereof next the harbour.
[35.] To Robert Saunders to Erect a Timber building of 19 foot Square & 17 stud with a flat roof to join in Addition to the South Easterly side of his Dwelling house Scituate and butting on Milk street in Boston, ye North Easterly side thereof will stand next to Eliakim Hutchinson Esqr his Pasture, & the South Easterly side will stand next to Vacant ground far from any other building.

[3].] To Thomas Richards of Boston Gent™ to Erect a Timber building for a Smiths Shop of 20 foot Square & 7 studd to stand on his Wharff adjoining on the South East end of his Blockmakers shop lving next the Sea, before his Dwelling House in Boston ; And he will at all times hereafter forbear to keep either horse or hay in any part of his housing next adjoining.
October the 7th 1708.

[39.] To John Clough to Erect a Timber building for a Dwelling house of 32 foot long 26 wide & 22 studd with a flat roof on his Land lying on the Westerly side of Orange Street at the South end of Boston the said building to stand more than 100 foot distant from any other building now there standing.
[40.] To Thomas Banister to Erect a Timber building on his Land to join in Addition to the Southerly end of that his Tenemt which-formerly was the Dwelling house of Samuel Bicknell scituate next unto Winter Street, at the South end of Boston, the sd build- ing to be 16 foot long 15 wide & 17 studd with a flat roof & will stan l Distant 100 foot from any other building on that the said Southerly side.
[41.] To Thomas Clark of Boston Pewterer to Erect a Timber building for a Warehouse of 50 foot long 19 wide & 14 studd with a flat roof of 3 foot & } rise on his new Wharff lately Erected on the Seaboard side of his Tenemte where Mr Nath1 Shannon & Mr George Robinson now Dwells Scituate at the Northerly end of Boston, the sª building to stand some space Distant within the Out wharff or Wall & 150 foot distant from any other building now standing.

[46.] To Ebenezer Clough to Erect a Timber building for a Kitchen of 14 foot long 11 wide & 14 studd with a flat roof on liis Land to stand joining in Addition to the North East end of his Dwelling house seituate next unto the Dwelling house of Mr John Love in Bennet Street at ye North End of Boston, the wch Kitchen will stand 70 feet distant from any other building on the sd North- east side' & for the better security thereof in Case of fire, he will carry up the Northwest side thereof (which stands next to Mr Goodwins) with a Brick Wall.
[47.] To Habijah Savage to Erect a Timber building for shops of 80 foot long twenty wide & 15 high on the north side & 11 foot high on the South side & to Cover the same with a flat roof on his Wharff butting on the Town slip nigh unto Scarlets Wharff in Boston the sd building to stand with the Northwest end thereof 36 foot distant below the northerly end of ffish street.
[48.] To. Henry Bridgham of Boston Tanner to Erect a Tim- ber building for a Mill house for the Grinding of bark of 20 foot square 12 studd on his Land to stand joining as a Leantoo on the Easterly end of his Barn next to Tannery Lane in Boston, it will be 60 foot distant from any other building now there standing.
Provided Maj" Walley have nothing to Object.

[49.] To James Brown to Erect a Timber building for a Dwelling house of 39 foot long 20 wide & 32 stud wth a flatt roof on his Land in Bostou butting South Easterly on Marlborough Street & Southwesterly on Winter Street, the longest side thereof to stand fronting on Marlborough Street & 28 foot in Length of the house now standing on the same ground (being that in which Mr Thomas Banister formerly Dwelt) he intends to Demollish And for the better security thereof in case of ffire he will Carry up the Northerly side of the sd building next to Mr Sam' Peirces with a Brick Wall Extending two ffoot higher than the timber work & he will make Battlemts round the roof thereof.
