TOWN WARRANT


Article 1. To choose a moderator to preside in said meeting.


Art. 2. To choose a Town Clerk and Treasurer, one Selectman for three years, who shall be Overseer of the Poor, one Assessor for three years, five Constables, one Auditor for the ensuing year, one School Committee for three years, Collector of Taxes for the ensuing year, one Library Trustee for three years, one Tree Warden for the ensuing year, one Cemetery Commissioner for three years, all on one ballot.


Also all other Town Officers.


Art. 3. To hear and act on the reports of the Select- men, Overseers of the Poor, Treasurer, School Committee, and other officers.


Art. 4. To fix the compensation of the Collector of Taxes for the ensuing year.


Art. 5. To determine the manner of repairing the highways and bridges for the ensuing year.


Art. 6. To raise such sums of money as may be deem- ed necessary for defraying the expenses of the Town for the ensuing year and appropriate the same and vote how the same shall be raised.


Art. 7. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money in anticipation of the revenue of the current financial year.

Art. 8. To see if the Town will instruct the Selectmen to prosecute any persons selling or transporting intoxicat- ing liquors in this Town contrary to the laws of the Com- monwealth, or take any action in regard to the same.


Art. 9. To see what disposition the Town will make of the Dog Tax of 1924.


Art. 10. To see if the Town will grant money for the observance of Memorial Day.


Art. 11. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of one hundred ($100.00) to be expended by the Trustees for County Aid to Agriculture for the County of Hampden in acordance with the provisions of Chapter 273 of the Acts of 1918, the same to be applied for the purpose of teaching and demonstrating better practice in Agricul- ture and Home Making.


Art. 12. To see if the Town will vote to raise a sum of money for the improvement and repairs on highways, under Chapter 81 of the General Laws.


Art. 13. To see if the Town will appoint a Town Forest Committee to investigate and determine the avail- able land suitable for reforestration, and raise and appro- priate the sum of fifty dollars for the same.


Art. 14. To see what action the Town will take in regard to disposing of the Portable Schoolhouses in the Pines District.


Art. 15. To see if the Town of Wilbraham will ap- point a Committee to investigate a source of water supply for the Town and appropriate and raise money for the same.


Art. 16. To see if the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate ($300.00) three hundred dollars, for the use of the

Wilbraham Post of the American Legion in carrying out the following program :


A-The proper observance of Memorial Day.


B-The collection and compilation of all data con- cerning the records of the men from Wilbra- ham who served during the World War.


C-The care of the memorial lots at North Wil- braham, Wilbraham and Glendale.


Art. 12. To see if the Town of Wilbraham will set aside as a fund for Wilbraham Post American Legion the money returned by the State which was assessed for the Soldiers' Bonus, for the American Legion to use for the upkeep of Soldiers' Graves-said fund to be placed at in- terest and at the disposal of the American Legion.


Art. 18. To see if the Town will vote to buy a play ground in the Weston Street District and raise and appro- priate money for the same.


Art. 19. To see if the Town will install gas service on Weston and Adams Streets.


Art. 20. To see if the Town will install an electric light on Adams Street.


Art. 21. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate money to continue the permanent Highway work on the road leading from the Ludlow waiting station to the Boston (State) road, providing the State and County furnish a like amount.

Art. 7. Voted that the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen, be authorized to borrow money in anticipation of the revenue of the current financial year beginning January 1, 1925, and to issue a note or notes therefor payable within one year, and debt or debts in- curred under this vote to be paid from the resources of said financial year.


Art. 8. Voted to instruct the Selectmen to prosecute any persons selling or transporting intoxicating liquors in this town contrary to the laws of the Commonwealth.


Art. 9. Voted that the Dog Tax of 1924 be given to the Library.


Art. 10. Passed.


Art. Voted to raise and appropriate the sum of $150.00 to be expended by the Trustees for County Aid to Agricul- ture for the County of Hampden in accordance with the provision of Chapter 273 of the Acts of 1918 the same to be applied for the purpose of teaching and demonstrating better practice in Agriculture and Home Making.


Art. 12. Voted to raise and appropriate $7,350.00 for the improvement and repairs on highways under Chapter 81 of General Laws.


Art. 13. Laid on table.


Art. 14. Voted that the School Committee be author- ized to sell one or two of the Portable Schoolhouses now at the Pines District, if in their judgement it is advisable to do so.


Art. 15. Voted that the Moderator of this meeting- appoint a committee of five, of which he shall be one mem-

ber, to investigate the subject of a water supply system, and to report as soon as possible at a future meeting, full plans and close estimates of cost and method of financing same and tht $500 be raised and appropriated for the use of this committee.


Art. 16. Voted to raise and appropriate $300 for the use of Wilbraham Post of the American Legion in carry- ing out the following program :


A. The proper observance of Memorial Day.


B. The collection and compilation of all data con- cerning the records of the men from Wilbraham who served in the World War.
