GIFFARD'S BOILER INJECTOR.

JACKSON & WILEY, FOUNDERS & MACHINISTS

Corner of Fifth and Woodbridge Sts., Detroit, Michigan, SOLE AGENTS FOR MICHIGAN.

WE RESPECTFULLY OALL THE ATTENTION OF

All who Use Steam in any Way, To this valuable instrument, which is destined to ·

SUPPLANT FEED PUMPS OF ALL DESCRIPTIONS.

The Advantages to be Derived from this Apparatus are:

1st. The saving of the first cost of all Pumps, and the parts to connect them with the Engine and Boiler.

2d. The wear and tear of these Pumps.

,. 8d. The saving of the power required to work Pumps, of whatever construction. 4th. The elevation of the temperature of the water admitted into the Boiler by steam used, thus preventing any appreciable loss of heat.

5th. The advantage of being able to supply water to Boilers without setting the Engine or other Machinery in motion, thus in all cases obviating the necessity of donkey pumping engines and affording all the advantages usually sought in their application.

6th. AVOIDING ALL RISK OF FREEZING, as while at work, the steam is constantly passing through the instrument, and when shut off from working, the water immediately leaves the Injector, which remains perfectly dry till put in operation again.

7th. NO VALVES to get out of order, because there are none used.

8th. It occupies small space, and can be attached at any part of the Boiler wherever most convenient.

9th. Any ordinary fireman can learn the method of working the Injector in a few minutes. We cordially invite all who desire to witness the operation of the Injector, to

COME AND SEE THE ONE IN OPERATION AT OUR WORKS,

Which has enabled us to throw out our Feed Pump, and the working of which gives the most entire satisfaction.

WE SHALL BE HAPPY TO SEND CIRCULARS Upon application for them, containing

CUTS OF THE INJECTOR, And the method of attachment to Bollers, and other information. .
