THE
HYDROPULT
8140,000,000 Lost by Fire in Seven Years.
On the recommendation of Mr. Chief Engineer Decker, of the New York Fire Department, the Public Buildings of the city are all being furnish- ed with this portable and indispensible HAND ENGINE. The Board of Education in New York are also supplying the Common School Buildings. Such precaution against possible fire is worthy of imitation in Detroit. Too late to lock the stable door when the horse is stolen ! Too late to put on a life preserver when one is drowned ! Too late to buy a HYDROPULT when the house is burned, or the fire may have taken a destructive headway before an engine arrives to complete the destruction by inundating your house and furniture, &c., in order to save the next building from fire ! The Hydropult should be in every dwelling, office and other building. It throws water 50 feet effectively. Friend Button, send on one to the subscriber's address. The two I purchased from you I was obliged to sell immediately on receiving them at the Express office, to Theo. H. Hinchman and Oliver Bourke, merchants on Jefferson avenue, and old members of our Detroit Fire Brigade, and who are well pleased with their machines. Hinchman paid his $12 in par funds cheerfully. The machine is excellent for sprinkling walks, gardens, wash- ing windows, &c &c.
Apply to American Hydropalt Co., 151 Nassau St and 41 Park Row, New York. JAMES DALE JOHNSTON.
P. 8,-I should be willing to sell in exchange for " PULTS," $1500 paid on City Lot contracts-just for a turn in trade. The property will rise 76 or 100 per cent in 8 or 10 years. See Advertisement on page 106. JAMES DALE JOHNSTON.
