* The original returns gave Richardson a plurality of 10. A mandamus was granted by the Supreme Court for a recount in lonia county, compelling the Board of County Canvassers to count certain votes for Charles E. Belknap which had been thrown out. The recount gave Belknap a plurality of 19. The Board of State Canvassers issued to Belknap a certificate of election, and the former Board of State Canvassers had already issued a certificate to Richardson.

Representative in Congress-Sixth District.
