Near Savannah we were joined by the troops which had been in East Tennessee, and the command consisted of the divisions of Gens Allen and Humes, and was composed of the 1st. 3d and 51st Alabama, Ist, 2d, 3d. 4th, 5th and 6th Georgia, 3d and 10th Confederate, 1st, 2d. 4th and Sth Tennessee, Ist, 3d and 9th Kentucky, 3d Arkansas and 8th and 11th Texas regiments, 9th Ten- nessce battalion, and Wiggins' and Ramsey's batte- teries, and these troops fought through all the fights until the war closed. My other troops were detached and left near Augusta, Georgia.
