DOPE E MECC Columbia Bicycles
Standard of the World.
COLUMBIA BICYCLES were the first bicycles made in America. The Works of the Pope Mfg. Co. at Hart- ford, are the largest in the world devoted entirely to the mak- ing of High-Grade Bicycles, and are also unequalled in the completeness of their equipment and the thoroughness of their methods. The result is a higher quality of product and a more scientific construction than is possible elsewhere. * * * * * *
IARTFORD BICYCLES
Are trustworthy machines of lower price than Columbias. * * * * * Made in separate factories under direct supervision of the Pope Manu- facturing Company .** * *
COLUMBIA and HARTFORD BICYCLES
Are sold in almost every city and town in the civilized world. * * x Eighteen branch houses and thousands of selling agents are supplied from the factories at Hartford.

United States Express Company
BALTIMORE & OHIO EXPRESS, PACIFIC EXPRESS COMPANY.
THE UNITED STATES EXPRESS COMPANY OPERATES MORE MILES T' OF RAILWAYS AND HAS A LARGER NUMBER OF OFFICES THAN ANY OTHER COMPANY, and reaches all principal points direct, and with the Pacific Express Company, Wells, Fargo & Co., and Western Express, for which we are Sole Eastern Agents, and by traffic arrangements with The American, Southern, National, Northern Pacific, and other principal companies, we reach every State and Territory in the United States, and ALL points in Canada and Mexico.
We also operate OUR OWN FOREIGN EXPRESS, and have our own agents in all cities abroad, and are so enabled to make better time and rates than any other company.
SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR MEXICO.
The United States Express Company has perfected a traffic arrangement with the Mexican National Express, insuring the quickest time for all principal points in Mexico, in many cases delivering goods two days quicker than any other line, and at less cost.
FOR NEW YORK, AND THE SOUTH AND WEST.
We operate exclusively both the N. Y. & N. E. R. R. and the P., R. & N. E. R. R., and our SPECIAL Fast Express Train daily to and from New York gives unsurpassed service. This train, "The United States Express," arrives here from New York daily at 4.40 A.M., giving us ample time to make as early deliveries as anyone desires, and all freight picked up in New York is delivered here early the next morning. For New York, this train leaves here at 10.50 P.M., and arrives in New York before any other Eastern Express, and we are therefore able to make earlier deliveries throughout all lower New York than ANY OTHER EXPRESS COMPANY.
To all Southern, Western, and Northwestern points our rates and service are unequalled; for on our SPECIAL TRAIN of six cars leaving here at 10.50 P.M. is our through Philadelphia car, which arrives there at 7 A.M. next morning, and one through Chicago car arriving there the second morning.
To Boston and the East and North we have the only direct line. Three fast through trains daily, both ways, give unequalled service.
Our system of through billing and our fast special exclusive express trains from here to New York and the South and West, makes our service to all points superior to that of any other company.
Buy the United States Express Company's TOURISTS' DRAFTS, simpler, cheaper, and better than letters of credit.
