Rev. Craven introduced Mrs. Hill the State President. The presented Dr. Mary J. Evans of Indianapolis, who preached the annual Sermon.

She began her sermon by having the Convention repeat the Chows of His Eye Is On The Sparrow"and then to hum it softly! This put us all in the spiritual attitude to receive the message she brought to us. Her text was taken from Isaiah 62,10. "Go Thus. Prepare ye the way of the people. Cast out the stones etc. Subject announced as Our Task. yours and Mine. Isaiah accomplished because he was im- afraid. He not only loved God, but trusted God. the best love, those whom ive profess to love when we do not compromise with them or for them"said the speaker Missionaries should not boast themselves, not make display of how much they have done; but work in humility of spirit as Kingdom builders for the Master. The charge to the missionary women is Go thru, and the promise is " the gates dif hell shall not prevail against you " Don't stop if you want victory. If you want to do some- thing for somebody else, it depends upon how well we gather the stones. Get the stones out of your own hearts land lives and Jesus will help us to gather them out of the lives of others. The three greatest stones in our lives said the speaker are 1. Hatred . I can't be kingdom builde & unless we have love for men and women. Hatred must be cast out. Where the Kingdom is, God is. God is love and hate is not there. Get rid of that "better than thon" feeling. Go in the spirit of love.

2. Distrust. HE must believe in people if we would help them. Go in bigness of faith and now the seed if you wish it to fall upon good ground. Suspicions of your members and their acts will not help you Child for the Master. Believe in them, no matter how they live. There is the yearning the climb up out of Sin and live better lives in the heart of every- one. "

3. Jealousy .- Petty jealousy. Go there by gathering out of our hearts the stone of jealousy. There is enough room and a hire everyone who wants to

SEI

serve. Pray God to give a willingness to cash out the stone of jealousy. Go then, preparing the way for those whom you would serve by gathering the stones out of our own lives. fill the standard of living in our homes and it will be reflected in the Church. Left the standard of hing in the Church and great shall be the harvest, because the gates of hell shall not prevail against you. Go then with Him- no matter what the cost, renew your missionary pledge." @ soul-stirring heart proting sermon from the Pips four own Dr. Mary. The Convention was both proud of her and filled with the spirit because of the message she brought. Long :- "He Leadeth Me" and "all The Way My Savior Leads Me" were sing with enthusiasm by the Convention. The Communion was administered by Ru. Don't mag them The explained that the art Dept money is used for our expenses. The Civic Dept is to help beautify yards, front and back in the homes churches, parsonages etc It takes so little to beautify homes, yards . A few flowers a little effort bring such big returns. She answered the question "they Have Dep'! Because it is a step in progress. He must seek out something to give the women to do to keep them interested. The Education report will be given Saturday. She stated that she wanted to do more this year than her strength would permit. But she had hun all to visit Flora Grant, Coffin Chapel and Connersville. She brought in eighteen dollars for the Pinny Drive. Hastings Banda had come to see her a few weeks ago and told of his success. The Church is not dying out, said the President It is no place for cliques and clans to hold forth. It is not an insurance company against losses in the world to come, It is a place to work. The happiest people are those who work most. Our work has succeeded so well, we must go forward. Missionary women are the hardest workers in a the church activities. The need is for consecrated, self-sacrificing, soul-saving women. who attend Church prayer meetings and pour out their spirit in praise to God. Homen who visit the sick and do real kingdom- building work. God's Church is led on by frayer and we must pray on there is no joy in Christian source. Give unselfish service like the Master's. Such love we must have for humanity as he had. Let down your tickets where are. Let them down so deep that they will come up filled with God's love. Honor those who go up. Play the part of Christ before the world. Do not stop to jealousy gossip. Cast those stones out of your lives. Go on in the noble cause. Hold on to Christ thu struggles of life - hold on to Him" pleaded or State President, as she ended a message which will never be forgotten by the Ind, Conference Branch women.
