as the Finance Com. was at the Bank, their report was postponed. The first paper for the afternoon Session was heard. Suff, Missionary Work, Young People's View point, by Miss. adana, allen Temple Marion. Discussion was tel May Miss Millie Hoffman, Lafayette. The State Pres asked that the paper be saved to be sent to the Women's Missionary Recorder.
The Nom. Com. with Mr. White Chairman submitted it's report, which was read by Miss Lucille Murphy. See reports Mrs. Mamie Carlyle, Kokomo declined the nomination for the Executive Board, Mrs. Bunden Marion, was nomin- ated to fill the vacancy, but declined. Mis. Barber Kokw, accepted the nomination. Mrs. Thompson's name was lift on the Plate by vote of the Convention even the she had left the Convention. Mrs. Sworden declined the nomination for chairman of the young Peoples Department. No one was nominated to fill the vacancy, so Ms. Bailey, Marion was left to run alone.
The Com. distributed the ballots. Miss Murphy was selected Secy. Com, with Rev. Cravens to assist her. The tellers were Miss Hoffman, Mrs. Gelbison, Mas. Miller Ky, and Mrs. Cump.
New. Upothegrove took leave of the Convention at this time. HE expressed himself as much pleased with what he had seen in the Convention. He adminished the women to get the bitterness out of their hearts. Even in the Church bitterness can grow. Guard against it and keep sweet. Re- ferring to the complaint the President voiced of women not working at home and coming to the Convention for dress parade he advised them to take the Presidents advise. Either to get busy and do their bit at home in their Churches or do not come for show to the Convention. HE ended his remarks with a poem by Edgar Guest," The Layman, The Corner stone of the Church. Rev. Rabitoy, Evansville, took leave of the Convention. HE said he had received missionary inspiration from what

Shannon was called upon to give the echoes of the Quadramine Convention to which she was sent as a Delegate. The Minutes of the Executive Board were read and adopted. It was explained that the requiringof fond by the Treasure was not because of money lost but to sal guard the Treasure She takes out the bond but the State paye for it. Lecy gets $10.00 and railwal expense. $5,00 is paid the Recording Secy and railroad expense, so we are in line with Parent Body plans on that score.
Missionary Drive in October was further explained by the Pres. Send money direct to the State Treasurer and she will sind receipt for it. Every Missionary Society must do something definite for education! If we have our money WE can't budget it as we see fit Each Society must get its own membership list. Literature will be sent ex- plaining the Drive: If any pledge is not paid by the end if Och the time may be extended, but the cards must be sent in. It will be conducted under the State.

a letter from Hastings Banda was read by the State President, the will graduate from Wilberforce next week, having completed the course in three years. He spoke of the building of his Church before they started for fear some could not hear himt when they should arrive at his church.
Mrs. Cain took leave of the Convention, She pledged her support to any program the President cared to put over. Mother Handy spoke words of praise and comfort for our Pres, Ms. Hill and the women of the Parent Body who have stood by her and made her success possible. She was especially pleased to see the Y.P. in the Convention and to hear that splendid papers. She spoke of the advantage enjoyed by our group in Baltimore, She saw the Mass. soldiers when they passed the Baltimore and was at the station when they were fired upon at the outbreak of the Civil Har. Mother Handy spoke to us so beautifully and in such a motherly way that the heart of the Convention went out to her. Dr. Dda Mac miller spoke the sentiments of all of us when she said " her presence is a benediction to any place where she goes . HE love her. She said of Ms. Hill that she has been an inspiration to all whose life has been touched by hers. Take our prayers our hearts with you. The Sat night session was opened with a
Pageant, " Great Howen Of The Bible presented by the State Officers and hast State Officers.
after the Pageant the Convention listened to a splendid address from Mrs. Carrie Crump, State Pres. of Ind. Federated Clubs. She invited all to attend the opening of the Club Home in Indpls. She brought a fine message of the Club Home and the work the Federated Clubs of Indiana were doing.
Dr. Ida Mac Miller was appointed to extend greetings to the Ind. Club Federation from the Int. Conf. Brauch of M.M. Socities. anderson and Noblesville both extended an invitation to the Convention for the next meeting. Noblesville won in the voting which followed.
The tickets sold for the Pageant amounted 1 4.80. Expense for tickets 2.25. Bal 12.55, Divide between the State $6.30 and the Local Society 6.25. announcemento: - Mrs. Dyson and Mis. Ramey were appointed to lead the Sim Rise Prayermeeting at six o'clock Sunday morning. Memorial Service was announced for 10:00 a.M. Sunday Convention will worship with local Church at 10:45 h.M. Ms. Jefferson, hdplo, Chairman and Mrs. Elizabeth Nenhum Richmond Sexy, with the Condolence Com. conducted the Memorial Service. Solo, " Neaver My God To Thee was rendered by Mrs. Effic Bass , Richmond The Secy read the names of the deceased and as each was called a short Eulogy was made by those who knew them. The Chairman. placed a white flower in the vase after each eulogy. These were followed by a solo"Face To Face" arma & Mrs. Sworden, Andpls. The report was adopted by a standing vote and the Committee was dismissed . Mrs. Effie Bass was appointed to take charge of the flowers and bring them back next year. This closed the Conventions part of the service,
all Evangelista and visiting Ministers were invited to the rostrum and the Convention worshiped with the local Church. Music was furnished by the Junior Choir of allen Chapel. Lord's Prayer Chant and"I Has Glad"were repeated in unison.

The Pres, announced that limanda Mason will appeal for her work this afternoon. She asked a large at- tendance for her. She said each Society should make an appropriation for limanda Mason. The Conf. Branch will giverher $10.0 Scholarship and each Society is asked to take a part of that as their special work. amanda Mason is teaching i Africa and we will help support her work. all Executive Officer and Dept, Chairman were requested & meet in the Lecture Kom as soon as the service is over. It is probable that the new Bishop will be welcomed at the next Convention. Friday will be missionary Day at the annual Conference.
Mrs. White, 2nd. Vice Pres, will make a tour of the Southem District socities Princeton, Evansville, Mt. Vernon, and bring her fill to the Convention. She is to explain the Drive to them as they had no Delegates to take it back to them. Mrs. Sworden will organize the U. P. into a State Chorus. a dia will be made to bring U.S. to the Convention especial those near Noblesville. Each Society is asked to send ten or more children for the Chows. Take a membership drive with your money drive .
The Pro. thanked the Board for its support this year. She urged them to put the right women in office. Mrs. Shannon is Chairman of Program Com. Board Members will meet nice a year. Send pledge money and Drive money to the Treasurer. Education - Mrs. Shawn will write Locals about education after the Drive.

Devotionals were conducted by the Y. P. Department with Mrs. Sworden & Bailey leaders. "Hate Thing Own Way" was sing, followed by Scripture Lesson by Mrs. King, Setamo. Paper,"Peace" was man by Miss Lindsey, Marion. Y. P. were called to the Chain Stand. The meeting was turned over to the State President.
Stand Up For Jesus was the opening song. The Pres. inter. duced Prof. C. J. Hyte, who addressed the Convention upon the subject of Peace".

While africa is very rich our group is very poor. They can only work in the mines and cannot ship ivory het must sell it to the white man who pays very little of its real value for it. eats the crust left in the pot. Cnlized women are asserting their rights, but they must also try to lift others less fortunate up to their level. The best way to bring a- bout change is to get the children in school. So for six years she has been trying to teach them. Many shirts have to be made for the heather - for when an african man or boy has a short he is dressed. Travel it africa is very primitive - there are no modern convomenos for travel. The need for everything is great. Children comme naked to school to be taught. They sleep upon the have ground. More should be interested in foreign missions. Mother Handy mentioned that the Mission. any Society has Miss Mason's sister in Silberforce. She has been there three years and will graduate next week. These students are educated neve and go back to carry the light of civilization to africa. Many of us cannot go to africa but we can sinf port these who can go . S. meeting at Aler Chapel, Terre Haute, Ind has been so beautifully entertained by the Pastor, Per. C.J. Smith and wife and the President and members of the Eva Hacker Mite Missionary Society, and the good people have opened their homes for our accommodation and Whereas: Mr. John Gills, a trustee and general manager of allen Chape (who has been so thoughtful in taking care of the smallest details which might have been overlooked and Whereas; The music rendered by the Y .. and schol band and other musical numbers rendered have added much to the entertainment of this Convention, and Whereas, ou Convention was favored by the presence of help. ful influence from visiting members and friends, tim the persone of Mrs. Miller, State Pres. of the Society of the blue grass state, and Mrs. Carrie Cutiup, State Tree of Fed.
