Thursday evening, June 14, 8:000 m. a large number of delegates and friends assembled to listen to a splendid pro- gram by the gella D. Johnson mito M. Society of Bethel and Flora grant M. S. of allen Temple marian. Synopsis of the Program:
Welcome addresses were given by Rev. G. H. Jackson, P.G. of the Richmond District.
Rev. J. S. a. mitcham, pastor of allen Temple representing the ministerial alliance and by Mr. Chas. Shinslow of the Local. Society.
Areading by Miss Ral Pettiford; Solos by Mrs Calvin Brooks + Mrs Stella Casey. Duct by mrs. J. S. Mitcham and mrs B. Baber

The opening session was preceeded by a devotional exercisey led by mesdames G. E. Ratliff of Crawfordsville Ist State

President; Leota Snorden, Chair of the Mothers Dpt. and Eva M. Cottman. This was a great spiritual hour followed by the annual sermon delivered by Rev. Or. Shannon of Kokomo, who announced his text Rev. 11. 15 "The Kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdoms of our Lord and his Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever" Rev. Shannon said in part. This State is prophetic; it deals with the 42 wks of the Times of the gentiles; the Jews have not entered into their own and will not until the Mesiah comes; Jesus is going to ivin when his presence is feet in the world: It does not matter what happens, good will ultimately win; righteousness will reign and the gospel of Good news will bring" Peace". We were lifted by this inspiring ser mon and by an eye of faith saw the reign of peace through the righteous ness of Jesus Christ.
The Holy Communion was adminis- tered by P.E. Jackson assisted by the following ministers: Revs. J. L. Claven J. S. mitcham; H. H. Black. after the administration of the Lords Supper, which was profoundly solemn, and impressive, the Rev.C. H. Jackson turned the gavel. over to our State President, Mrs q. B. Hill who declar- ed the 25 Session of The Or. M.M. Convention duly opened and ready for business.
(60 persons took the Communion) The President appointed Miss Lucile mur- phy + Mrs anna Stadkine to collect the audentials.

The Mes made an announcement of our national Convention to convene. Tin Brooklyn Oct 3-10 1923 stating that we did not send a delegate to Florida on account of finance but that the Silver Offering was taken to pay the delegales way and that we hoped to send tit delegates. The Pres. said "Fraternal organ- izations taxed their members and all payed. Let us all pay a tay for religious work. never allow any other organizations to come before Church.

Rev. It. H Cifes encouraged the women by telling them how much their was appreciate, that they should and would have greater opportunities for service. The President said :- I regret the absence of mrs Hattie Daughtery and Sister Mel- vina Smith but was glad both had sent a message stating that sickness was the only cause of their absence. However we are glad of the presence I mrs g. a. Ratliff ist State president und If Mis Emma Duffy Ex Presi.

Mrs. q. B. Jel served 3 yrs as rice. Pres., also many limes upon the Ex. Board previous lo her electron as pres. in 1909. She attended two Quadrennial Conventions at Chicago , 911- at Detroit , q15 and took an important part on the program at each place. She was urged to be present at the Inadrennine at Florida in 1919 lent did not go on account of the expense to the State. Society.

Mrs g. B. ] till for a number of years presided over two other State Organizations :- That of the Women's Federated Clubs" and verder of Eastern Star leaving both well financed $1400 was left in the Treas ury of the Federated Clubs. when she resigned in 1921.
The recommendation to have a "State Masonic Home" was offered by our press- ent wide awake Leader. The are proud to note that it exists near marion to day, a beautiful rural home.
Many noted Missionaries and stud. ents, who are now active in the field; were materially helped under the leadership of mrs Q. B. )till. Vin; mary & Evans; Ida mac miller; Sylla Pettiford; Chas adkins also amanda Mason a nativo african Student who is now teaching in Bishop Brooks. Normal & Vocational School in West africa.
She has created the following new and flourishing Departments, molho- era; Educational; art; Civic.
One Hundred Dollars ($100) was pre- sented Bishop Brooks to erect and Episcopal Residence in Monorovia Chest africa.

The anniversary Sermon, as announced was delivered by the Rev. J. L. Craven of anderson, he was appropriately chosen, being the only minister, now in Indiana Conference who had followed the State Missionary Society through out the twenty- five yrs. of its growth. Rev.J. L. Craven look at a Text, St. John 16:20." But your sorrow shall be turned into joy" Rev. Craven is an ass- spiring singer for this reason he wasre- quested to sing "I love the word," he did so with the convention assisting. The Lord blessed with His presence; the speaker said "I love the Lord, for twenty-five years over circuits and stations Hehase hard hay cry;rer turning to the text_"but your sorrow shall be turned into joy": - be governed, by thought not feeling; Satan puts obstructions in the way to bring sorrow. tris the sports to see whether Saldo or god tells you to stop; when did god ever tell his servants to stop? Looking backward, and often with tears over 25 yrs of determined work but the Savior has promised their sorrows shall be turned into joy. The Missionary Workers have had more joy than sorrow. Rev. Craven exhorted all to look to the future; to- morrow holds a brighter day. Sunday was a great day at Bethel marion. The early prayer meeting was largely attended was full of the presence of the Holy Spirit. Prayer and Praise the life of any Christian organization ran high even to Heaven. all the dele gates should give their presence to this service The leaders appointed were Eva me. Cottman; Serta Snorden; Lucile Murphy.
