An Act Relative to Annual and Other Reports of City and Town Officials


Be it enacted, etc., as follows :


Section 1. No city or town, and no department or official of any city or town in this commonwealth, shall publish in any annual or other report for general distribution to the public, or to the citizens of any city or town, the names of persons assisted in any way by the poor department of any city or town, or the names of any persons receiving aid under the provisions of chapter seventy- nine of the Revised Laws and Acts in amendment thereof, and in addition thereto, residing in such city or town.


Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. [Ap- proved April 16, 1910.

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING


Copy of the principal votes passed at the annual town meeting held Feb. 3, 1913 :


Moderator, Almond L. Nickerson.


Tellers, William B. Higgins, John E. Ryder.


Voted, to waive the reading of the town officers' re- port and accept the report as printed.


Voted, to pay 2 per cent. for the collection of taxes, the town furnish stationery and pay postage on out of town business.


Voted, that the refunded dog tax be given to the schools.


Voted, that the care of the poor be left in the hands of the Overseers of the Poor.


Voted, that the care of the roads be left in the hands of the Road Surveyors, subject to the order of the Select- men.


Voted, to give the Collector of Taxes the same power which the Treasurer has when made Collector of Taxes.


Voted, that the Treasurer with the approval of the Se- lectmen, be and is hereby authorized to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the taxes of the municipal year, beginning Jan. 1, 1913, to an amount not exceeding in the aggregate $6,000.00, and to issue a note or notes there- for payable within one year, any debt or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from the taxes of said municipal year.


Voted, that the town instruct the Selectmen to issue permits for a term of five years to plant and grow soft shelled clams, on the west shore flats.


Voted, that the close season on clams be the same as last year i. c. April 1st to October 1st.


Voted unanimously to grade and oil the lane leading to

John Knowles' house, 1000 feet long, 12 feet wide.


Voted, that the town make an appropriation of $1,400.00 to build an oil road, from the oil road near S. F. Brackett's house to the west shore, and to repay the said amount at the rate of $300 per year, and the town is instructed to ac- cept all donations offered. The road to be oiled 12 feet wide.


Voted, to build an oil or tarvia walk at the Town hall, 45 feet long and 14 feet wide and appropriate $50.00 there- for.


Voted, to raise and appropriate the sum of $100.00 to be expended on Nauset road from the state stone road to the residence of Charles Feltis.
