Voted, that the town pay 25 cents per hour for labor for men and 15 cents per hour for horses.
Voted, to store the tar kettle in the hearse house.
Voted, to accept the road as laid out by the Selectmen commencing at a stone monument on the southeast corner of the land of Samuel F. Brackett, thence west 71 degrees north 12 rods and 32 links to a stone monument situated on the east side of Camp Ground road ; road is laid out 27 feet wide.
Voted, that the close season on soft shell clams be the same as last year.
Voted, that the chair appoint a committee of three to buy a piano and appropriate $200 therefor. Committee ap- pointed, Rev. Arthur Wadsworth, William F. Knowles, Freeman A. Collins.
Voted, that the Treasurer be authorized to sign the in- denture of trust between the Town of Eastham and the Bos- ton Safe Deposit & Trust Co. submitted for inspection.
Voted, to build Fort Hill road with oil 16 ft. wide, and that the road be graded sufficient width to leave a dirt road

beside the oil road and that the town appropriate $500 therefor.
Voted, that the road be built by the town.
Voted, to appropriate $50 for a California Privet hedge for the Town Hall grounds, and that Capt. Clarington Smith have charge of the expenditure of the same.
Voted, to change the place of posting public notices from the Carpenter Shop of Wilbur G. Smith to the Harness Shop of George H. Walker.
Voted, to sell the fishing of the Herring Brook at auction to the highest bidder, the purchaser shall keep the brook open for free ingress and egress. Sold to Wm. H. Nicker- son for $1 per year for the term of five years.
Voted, informally that the town purchase 12 posts to set in front of the Town Hall.
Voted, informally to accept a fully equipped kitchen as a gift for the Town Hall.
Voted, to pay the Moderator $5 for his services.

PUBLIC LIBRARY
The Trustees of the Public Library respectfully submit their annual report, including the Treasurer's and Librarian's report.
The late Mrs. Clara W. Hall bequested her Library, 175 volumes, to the Eastham Library.
The Massachusetts Free Library Commission presented our Library 73 volumes and several maps of European War Countries.
Two books were presented from Mr. and Mrs. George Southward.
Mr. Bradford Sherman of Chicago presented his book to the Library.
Miss Helen Clark gave the Library Harper's Magazine and Woman's Home Companion, as has been her custom for several years.
We are continuing our magazine subscriptions for the Li- brary and Sub-stations as heretofore.
