BOULDER AND TABLET ON TOWN HALL GROUNDS
On December 16, 1920, five members of the Society of Colonial Wars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts came to Eastham and presented to the town, the boulder and bronze tablet, which stands on the Town Hall Grounds. This boulder is to commemorate the first encounter between the Pilgrims led by Myles Standish, and the Indians.
On behalf of the town this boulder and tablet was ar- cepted by the Selectmen.
