PARKER. The ancestor of this family was Abraham, who is supposed to have come from Wiltshire, Eng. He first settled in Woburn, where he married Rose Whitlock, 1644; was admitted freeman in 1645; and rem. to Chelmsford, probably upon its incorporation in 1653, with his brothers, Jacob, James and Joseph. His homestead of 24 acres was set off to him in 1662 and was near the middle of Chelmsford. His son, Moses, b. in Chelmsford about the year, 1657; m. Abigail Hildreth, daughter of Richard.

PRESCOTT. The ancestor of this family was John, who came from Standish, England, landed at Boston, 1640; was for a time at Water- town, but settled at Lancaster, Mass., 1643. He was a blacksmith by trade. He became a large landholder in Groton.
