PROCTER. The ancestor of this family was Robert, of Concord, who m. Jane Hildreth, 1645. He rem. to Chelmsford in 1654 and was one of the first settlers. He had four children b. in Concord, viz: Sarah, Gershom, Mary and Peter, and seven were born in Chelmsford, to wit: Elizabeth, James, Lydia, Thomas, John, Samuel and Israel.
