AUDITORS' REPORT.
We. the subscribers, Anditors of the Town of Nor- wood, have examined the accounts of the Selectmen, Town Treasurer. Collector of Taxes, Water Commis- sioners. Trustees of Public Library. Trustees of Sinking Fund, and all original vouchers on which moneys have been paid from the Town Treasury for the year ending January 31, 1900. We find and report that all orders drawn by the Selectmen. Water Commissioners. and Trustees of Public Library have been duly vouched, and that the foregoing is a true statement of the sums re- ceived and payments made Charles E. Pond, Treasurer, and Edgar F. Roby, Tax Collector, and that the accounts kept by them have been correctly east and payments duly vouched, and that there remains in the treasury, Jan. 31, 1900, the sum of $6,133.43. Also that the indebtedness of the town is $102,887.49. The amount of the Sinking Fund is $22,812.51. Last year we suggested that the books of the Cemetery Commissioners be kept as all other books of the town are kept. This has not been done, and your Auditors would recommend that the Board of Selectmen cause the Cemetery Commissioners to produce bills and vouchers for all work done under their direc- tion.

That the Superintendent of Streets be paid as salary for his services for the ensuing year $1,000.00; said Superintendent shall not employ or use any of his own horse's or teams on any town work at the expense of the town, and he shall not be interested in any town con- tract. He shall keep a detailed account of all work done, and of all materials used, and shall make a full report in writing to the Selectmen at the end of the year, which report shall be printed in the Town Report.
