ART. 5. To see if the Town will accept the list of jurors as pre- pared by the Selectmen, or do or act.


ART. 6. To appropriate the money received from the County Treasurer for dog licenses.


ART. 7. To authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow during the municipal year beginning March 1, 1907, in anticipation of the collection of taxes of said year, such sums of money as may be necessary for the current expenses of the Town, but not exceeding the total tax levy for said year, giving the notes of the Town therefor, payable within one year from the dates thereof. All debts incurred under authority of this vote shall be paid from the taxes of the present municipal year.


ART. 8. To see if the town will appropriate the sum of one thousand ($1,000.00) dollars for protection against fire in sections of the town where at present there is no such provision, the said ap- propriation to be expended in purchase of Chemical Fire Extinguish-

ART. 9. To see if the town will instruct the Selectmen to instal three street lights on Crescent Street, or do or act.


ART. 10. To see if the town will adopt the rules and regulations governing its cemeteries as recommended by the Cemetery Commis- sioners, including form of deed for lots.


ART. 11. To see if the town will appropriate $500.00 for laying out new lots in North Cemetery as recommended by the Cemetery Commissioners, or do or act.


ART. 12. To see if the town will accept the following bequests :- $100.00, to be known as the Jackson Fund. $100.00 to be known as the W. S. Draper Fund. $100.00 to be known as the Dwight B. Heard Fund.


ART. 13. To see if the town will vote to erect and maintain one (1) electric incandescent light on French Avenue in front of resi- dence of Joseph Gladu, also four (4) additional lights on West Plain Street, location to be determined by the Selectmen, grant money for the same, or otherwise act thereon.


ART. 14. To see what action the town will take to acquire addi- tional land for its water system for the purpose of preserving its present water supply.


ART. 15. To see if the town will appropriate the sum of $5,000.00 for the improvement of its water suppy and authorize the Town Treasurer to borrow the sum so appropriated, the same to be paid in annual payments from water rates.


ART. 16. To see if the town will authorize the Selectmen to in- stall additional street lights in and near Cochituate village, or do or act.


ART. 17. To see what action the town will take regarding better school accommodations in Cochituate village and the adoption of some plan or plans for the purpose of meeting the expense of the same, or do or act.

formerly known as the " Dedham Road," from a point on School Street, at the residence of Mr. Sauer, to the Weston line, or do or act.


ART. 19. To see if the town will appropriate a sum not exceed- ing one thousand ($1,000.00) dollars for construction of concrete sidewalks on Pond Street, from the so-called city pasture to the Granny Pond, and for the transfer of watering fountain and other improvements on Pond Street, or do or act.


ART. 20. To see if the town will appropriate not exceeding one thousand ($1,000.00) dollars for the purpose of establishing and maintaining a branch library and reading room in Cochituate village, or do or act.


ART. 21. To see if the town will appoint a committee to address a petition to the General Court in favor of the bill to exempt the Dudley Pond from the laws and rules governing bodies of water used as a water supply, or do or act.


ART. 22. To see if the town will direct the Selectmen to install additional electric street lights in and near the center village, or do or act.


ART. 23. To see what action the town will take relative to a bill presented against the town by Joseph F. Minon for counsel fees in the matter of a suit to protect the right of our citizens to boat and fish on Lake Cochituate, or do or act.


And you are required to serve this warrant by putting a copy thereof attested by you at each of the Post Offices, at the Engine House and at the Town House, seven days at least before the time appointed for holding said meeting.


Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk on or before Saturday, March 23, current.

Surveyor of Highways.


REPORT OF SURVEYOR OF HIGHWAYS.


WAYLAND, February 28, 1907.


The amount appropriated for Highways and Bridges the past year was two thousand dollars ($2,000.00). There was an unex- pended balance from previous year of four dollars and fifty-four cents ($4.54). Also the Excise Tax, amounting to five hundred and nine dollars and eighty-nine cents ($509.89), making a total of two thousand five hundred and fourteen dollars and forty-three cents ($2,514.43) .


The total amount expended was two thousand four hundred and twenty-three dollars and sixty-seven cents ($2,423.67), leaving an unexpended balance of ninety dollars and seventy-six cents ($90.76). The snow bills for the year amount to two hundred and fourteen dollars and eighty-six cents ($214.86).


Itemized bills for above amounts are on file in the Selectmen's Office.
