Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to install water pipes and hydrants in the way named "Maiden Lane," or any portion thereof, and to appropriate a sum of money for the expenses thereof and deter- mine how the money shall be raised and authorize such sum, or any portion thereof, to be included in any betterments that may be assessed under the preceding article; or take any action relative thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to accept as a public way, and to construct the road known as "Park Lane," or a portion or por- tions thereof, as laid out by the Board of Selectmen and as shown on plans on file with Town Clerk; to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire the necessary land (including easements for drainage) by purchase, gift, eminent domain or otherwise; to appropriate and assess a sum of money for the acquisition of such land, the construction of such way, and for other costs in connection therewith, with betterments to be assessed under Chapter 80 of the General Laws; or take any action relative thereto.

Voted unanimously: That the Town authorize the Selectmen, with the concurrence of the Town Counsel, to purchase for general municipal purposes the following parcel of land and appropriate and transfer from available funds for such purchase the sum of $75.00. (1) Land located on Dudley Road, now or formerly of Richard Thomas, being Lot #79.


Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to purchase the Tower Hill Station Lot and adjacent property from the Boston and Maine Railroad, shown on Plan of the Boston and Maine Railroad, dated September 19, 1958, Val. Section 5, Map 12 of Central Mass. Branch Ter. Div., which is bounded and described as follows:


NORTHERLY : by other land of the Boston and Maine Railroad,


EASTERLY: by Plain Road a distance of seventy-two (72) feet, more or less,


SOUTHERLY: by land of Arthur W. Hunt, a distance of one hundred and five (105) feet, more or less,


WESTERLY: by land of Arthur W. Hunt and other land of the Boston and Maine Railroad, a distance of one hundred (100) feet, more or less.


Containing approximately seventy-six hundred (7,600) square feet of land, more or less.

Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to purchase from the Metropolitan District Commission two (2) certain parcels of land shown on a plan entitled, "Commonwealth cf Massachusetts, Metropolitan District Commission, Water Division, Land in Wayland to be conveyed to Town of Wayland, dated February,

1958, Harold J. Toole, Director of Water Division and Chief Water Supply Engineer," and more particularly bounded and described as follows:


Parcel One:


Beginning at a stone bound set in the northerly side line of Stonebridge Road, at land now or formerly of Esther V. Henley, as shown on the plan hereinafter mentioned:


Thence the line runs north 83° 08' 10" east by said land of Esther V. Henley two hundred thirty-two and 40/100 (232.40) feet to a point;


Thence south 64° 58' 50" east by said land of Esther V. Henley one hundred fifty-six and 42/100 (156.42) feet to a stone bound set in said northerly side line of Stonebridge Road;

Toole, Director of Water Division and Chief Water Supply Engineer," and more particularly bounded and described (as given in the Warrant for this Meeting under Article 22).

A certain parcel of land with building thereon, situated in Wayland, in the County of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts and being a portion of Lot 77 on plan entitled "Castlegate South Section, Wayland, D. Arthur Brown, Trustee, and E. Worthington, Engineer, dated July 20, 1918" recorded with Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds, Book 271, Page 3, said land being more particularly bounded and described as follows:


NORTHERLY: by the northerly side of Lake Shore Drive between Lot 76 and Lot 78 as shown on said plan, there measuring thirty-two (32) feet;


EASTERLY : by Lot 78 as shown on said plan, there measuring one hundred twenty-four (124) feet;


SOUTHWESTERLY: by Castlegate Road as shown on said plan, there measuring thirty (30) feet; and


WESTERLY: by Lot 76 as shown on said plan, there measuring one hundred thirteen and 85/100 (113.85) feet. or take any action relative thereto.

Voted unanimously: That the Town authorize the Selectmen, with the concurrence of the Town Counsel, to release all its right, title and interest in the following described parcel of land:


A certain parcel of land with building thereon, situated in Wayland, in the County of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts and being a portion of Lot 77 on plan entitled "Castlegate South Section, Wayland, D. Arthur Brown, Trustee, and E. Worthington, Engineer, dated July 20, 1918," recorded with Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds, Book 271, Page 3, said land being more particularly bounded and described (as given under Article 23 of the Warrant for this Meeting).

Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the abandon- ment of its rights and easements in, through and over Robin Hill Road; or take any action relative thereto.

The Moderator expressed the thanks of the Meeting to the High School Students and Faculty members, who had supervised the operation of the microphones; to the Associate Moderator, who had presided over the over-flow group (which had sat in the cafeteria during the first part of the meeting) ; and to all others who had contributed to the smooth conduct of the meeting.

Article 25. To see if the Town will vote to amend Chapter IX, Section 16, Paragraph (a) of the Building Code by deleting the follow- ing words: "All outside wall studding shall rest on sill"; or take any action relative thereto.
