UNANIMOUS CONSENT: The Reading of the order of the Board of Selectmen laying out Bayfield Road, Marshall Terrace, High Rock Road, Reservoir Road, Black Oak Road, Highgate Road, Holbrook Road, Red Barn Road, Graybirch Lane, Tally Ho Lane, Orchard Lane, Mellen Lane and Three Ponds Road, was dispensed with.
Upon Motion of Mr. Bartholomew, duly seconded, it was
Voted unanimously: That the Town accept as public ways the following roads, as laid out by the Board of Selectmen, and as shown on plans on file with the Town Clerk, that the Board of Selectmen be author- ized to acquire the necessary, land or interest therein by deed, gift cr by eminent domain, and that the Town therefor* appropriate and assess the sum of $1.00 for each such above-referred-to road a total of $13.00, the roads being Bayfield Road, Marshall Terrace, High Rock Road, Reservoir Road, Black Oak Road, Highgate Road, Holbrook Road, Red Barn Road, Graybirch Lane, Tally Ho Lane, Orchard Lane, Mellen Lane, and Three Ponds Road.

Article 36: To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to establish, post and enforce a speed limit of five (5) miles per hour on the Sudbury River, or take any action relative thereto.
Upon Motion of Mr. Henry H. Kolm, duly seconded, it was
Voted: That the Town amend its by-laws by adding thereto a new Article as follows:
Operation of Motor Boats on the Sudbury River
1. No motor boat shall be operated upon that portion of the Sudbury River lying within the Town of Wayland at a rate of speed in excess of ten miles per hour.
2. Any person violating this by-law shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $20 for each offense.
There being more than a scattering "No" vote, and because a 2/3 vote was desirable, there was a

At this point the Meeting returned to Article 32, in accordance with the previous vote in this connection.

Pursuant to the Warrant dated October 24, 1959, and signed by Archibald Cox, Thomas F. Linnehan and Frank S. Tarr, Selectmen, service and return of said Warrant having been duly given by Ernest H. Damon, Constable, the inhabitants of the Town of Wayland qualified to vote in Town Meeting, assembled this day; at 7:50 P. M. the Modera- tor called the meeting to order, but because a quorum was not present, he recessed the meeting until 8:00 P. M., in the hope of obtaining a quorum.
At 8:10 P. M. the meeting was again called to order by the Modera- tor, who declared that a quorum was now present and the meeting pro- ceeded to transact the following business:
Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds or from appropriation balances, a sum or sums of money for the operation and expenses of any or all of the following departments :

NORTHERLY and NORTHEASTERLY: by Waltham Road twenty (20.00) feet;
NORTHWESTERLY: by land, now or formerly, of Daniel Everett, Jr., and Sadie J. Sherman, one hundred and fifty (150.00) feet;
SOUTHERLY and SOUTHWESTERLY : by a Pond twenty (20.00) feet; and
NORTHEASTERLY: by land, now or formerly, of Daniel Everett, Jr. and Sadie J. Sherman, one hundred and fifty (150.00) feet;
or take any action relative thereto.
Upon motion of Mr. Frank W. Kilburn, duly seconded, it was
Voted: That the Town authorize the Board of Selectmen to pur- chase, take by eminent domain, gift and/or other means, on behalf of the Town of Wayland, a drainage easement, twenty (20) feet in width, through and over certain land as shown on a plan entitled "Plan of Land in Wayland, Mass. (showing drain easement to be acquired by the Town of Wayland)" by Everett M. Brooks Co., C. E., dated October 2, 1959, bounded and described (as given under Article 3 of the Warrant for this Meeting) - (A reading of the description of this property was omitted by the maker of the Motion, and by the Moderator in repeating the Motion, there being unanimous consent of the Meeting, since it followed exactly the language of the Article).
The first vote gave a scattering "No."
The second vote was unanimously in favor of the Motion.
The Moderator then thanked the High School officials and employees who had set up the building, who had taken care of the microphones and done all the work to make things ready, as well as the students who had helped.
