WARRANT FOR ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
Norfolk, ss.
To either of the Constables of Plainville, Greeting :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabi- tants of the Town of Plainville qualified to vote in Town affairs, to meet in the Town Hall, in said Plainville, on MONDAY, the SIXTH DAY of MARCH, A. D. 1933 at nine o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following Articles, viz :
Article 1. To choose all the necessary Town Officers.
Article 2. The following to be chosen by ballot, viz : Three Selectmen, three Overseers of Public Welfare, one Treasurer, one Town Clerk, one Auditor, one Collector of Taxes, one Trustee of Public Library for three years, one Water Commissioner for three years, one member of School Committee for three years, one Assessor for three years, one Tree Warden, one Moderator for one year, one Park Commissioner for three years, and three Constables.
All officers, except the above named, are to be chosen for one year.
Polls will be open at six o'clock A. M. and may be closed by vote at two o'clock P. M.
Article 3. To consider and act on the reports of the Selectmen, Treasurer, and other Town Officers.

Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to postpone action on all Articles calling for appropriations to an adjourned meeting to be held Monday evening, March 6, 1933, at 7:30 P. M., in the Town Hall.
Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 81 of the General Laws and make an appropriation therefor.
Article 6. To appropriate and raise by borrowing or otherwise such sums of money as may be required to defray Town charges for the financial year ending Dec- ember 31, 1933, and expressly for the following purposes, to wit:
1. For the support of the Public Library.
2. For the Selectmen's current expenses and salaries.
3. For the Treasurer's current expenses and salary.
4. For the Town Clerk's current expenses and salary.
5. For the Assessors' current expenses and salaries.
6. For the Tax Collector's current expenses and salary.
7. For the Board of Registrars' current expenses and salaries.
8. For the salary of Town Auditor.
9. For Sealer of Weights and Measures' current ex- penses and salary.

Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to have the surety of the Collector of Taxes, Treasurer, Town Clerk and Secretary of the Water Commissioners bond placed with a fidelity or guarantee company, and appropriate a sum of money to pay for the same.
Article 8. To see if the Town will authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to bor- row money after January 1st, 1934, in anticipation of the revenue of 1934.
Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to appro- priate the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250 .- 00) to continue the Town Plat, or do or act in any man- ner relative thereto.
Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $896.05 or any other sum, for the carrying on of the moth work for the current year.
Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money or a reserve fund to pro- vide for extra-ordinary or unforseen expenses, as author- ized by Section 6, Chapter 40, General Laws.
Article 12. To see if the Town will grant the use of the Town Hall at a minimum charge of five dollars ($5.00) per day to :-

PROCEEDINGS OF THE TWENTY-NINTH ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
Town Hall, Plainville, Massachusetts, March 6, 1933.
Pursuant to the foregoing Warrant, the 29th Annual Town Meeting was held in the Town Hall, it being the first Monday of March, 1933.
The ballot box was inspected, found empty, and locked by Town Clerk and key turned over to Police Officer.
Ballot Clerks: Fred Sweeting and Harriet Rhodes.
Tellers : Dacia Anderson and Frank King.
Ballot Box and Police Officer : Charles W. Harris.
The above having been appointed by the Selectmen, were duly sworn to the faithful performance of their respective duties by Town Clerk.
The Town Clerk read the Warrant and at six A. M. the polls were declared open and voting was in order.
At nine o'clock A. M. the meeting was called to order by Moderator, William H. Nash.
On motion by Arthur L. Crowley, it was voted to dis- pense with the reading of the Warrant.
Article 1. Unanimously voted that Chester A. Meyer, Joseph S. Craik, and Elmer Pease be elected Fence Viewers and Field Drivers for the ensuing year.
Unanimously voted that George B. Greenlay, Harry O. Proal, Henry I. Riley, and Ernest E. Munroe be

elected Measurers of Wood, Bark, and Lumber for the ensuing year.
Article 3. Motion by Arthur W. Washburn and unanimously voted that we accept the reports of the various Town Officers as printed in the Town Report with the exception of any error in printing.
Article 4. Unanimously voted to postpone action on all Articles calling for appropriations to an adjourned meeting to be held Monday evening, March 6, 1933 at 7:30 P. M., in the Town Hall.
The Moderator appointed the following Committee : Arthur W. Washburn, Oliver P. Brown, Earl B. Thomp- son, Fred Sweeting, and George Prance, to bring in names as recommendations for the Finance Committee for the ensuing year.
At 9:10 A. M. voted to adjourn until 7:30 P. M.
At 4:00 P. M. voted to close polls. 403 ballots cast and 403 names checked on voting list.

Section 1. For the Support of the Public Library. $600.00. This amount includes $455.03 Dog Tax, and $16.60 fines.
Section 2. Selectmen's Current Expenses, $1,500.00. Selectmen's Salaries, $400.00.
Section 3. Treasurer's Current Expenses, $70.00. Treasurer's Salary, $250.00.
Section 4. Town Clerk's Current Expenses, $135.00. Town Clerk's Salary, $150.00.
Section 5. Assessors' Current Expenses, $40.00. Assessors' Salaries, $550.00.
Section 6 0 Tax Collector's Current Expenses, $150 .- 00. Tax Collector's Salary, $250.00.

appropriated for the payment of land damages incurred by the construction of East Bacon Street extension. The total of land damage being $745.00, and the balance of $209.08 being the amount unexpended under Chapter 90.
Article 15. Motion by Edgar F. Berry, and unani- miously voted "That the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to renew any or all of the revenue loans of 1933 issued for a period of less than one year, in accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, General Laws, the same to be paid from the revenue of 1933."
Article 16. Motion by Frank F. Whiting, and unani- mously voted that the sum of $75.00 be raised and appro- priated for a new Ballot Box.
Article 17. Motion by Edgar F. Berry, and unani- mously voted that this article be not adopted.
Article 18. Nominating Committee appointed this morning brought in the following names as suggestions for next year's Advisory and Finance Committee :
C. F. Henrich Edgar Berry Lee Higgins
Jacob Engelbert
Edward Bauman
It was unanimously voted that this recommendation be accepted and that this Committee work in conjunction with the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen and the Town Treasurer.
Voted to adjourn at 8:45 P. M.

WARRANT FOR ELECTION OF CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION DELEGATES
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS

To either of the Constables of the Town of Plainville,
Greeting :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the legal voters of the Town of Plainville to meet in the TOWN HALL, in said Plainville on TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 1933 at six o'clock A. M., then and there to give in their votes for delegates to the Constitutional Convention, called to ratify or reject an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, proposed by joint resolution of Congress.
3 Delegates from Fourteenth Congressional District and also to vote "Yes" or "No" to the following question : "Shall licenses be granted in this town for the sale of wines and malt beverages ?"
The polls will be open at six o'clock in the forenoon and may be closed at two o'clock in the afternoon.
And you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at least seven days before the time of said meeting.
Hereof fail not, and make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at or be- fore the time of said meeting.
