Record of action taken at the annual Jar meeting hold February 20, 1965. The meeting was opened by thomas of the Selectmen, Jolle Arrowkey. Rev. William C. Floge Pastor of the moon former church offered prayer, the whole assembly standing.


Dr. William E. Dudley of East Leverett spoke briefly in memory of the late Herbert Dipon who was strichen last Oct. Hte as he mounted the steps of the Leverett Church where he was to have charge of the Sunday Morning Service. The following "In Memoriam" is punted in the 1964 Jwww Report Leverett was saddened last fall by the sudden passing of the beloved Rev. Therbert Dixon, who was strichew On Sunday October 4, as he mounted the steps of the First- Congregational brunch to lead the worship service.


Rua, Dipow was born in Glastonbury Connecticut in 1888 and decided early in life for the ministry . Following formal training at Mount Hermon and Bangor Theological Seminary he served churches in maine, Vermont, and others Massachusetts town before coming to Leverett in 1927. Snutter 32 years that the actively his congregation in hoverett, Quele herber came to be a friend to the entire community, and indeed to the surrounding area as well. This reture- ment in , 959 was merely a formality to him for he continued to live his active, cheerful life in serving his fellow townspeople, in maintaining his long-term intrat in bamp anderson,

now therefore be it resolved that this town muting hereby instructs it's represen- tatives in to the general baust to vote in favor of the Home Rule proposal (1, 384 of 1963 as revised) when it comes before them.
