COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS.
WORCESTER, SS.
To Either Constable of the Town of Milford, in said County , Greeting :
In the name of the Commonwealth aforesaid, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said Town, qualified by law to vote in Elections and in Town af- fairs, to meet at the Town Hall, in said Town, on Monday, the sixth day of March, A. D. 1899, punctually at six o'clock in the forenoon, to act upon the following articles, namely :-
[The Polls may be closed at four o'clock in the afternoon on said day of meeting.]
ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
ARTICLE 2. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing. A Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, Tax Collec- tor, Auditor, Three Selectmen, Three Assessors, Three Over- seers of the Poor, Two Members of the School Committee, Two Trustees of Public Library, Two Members of the Board of Health, one for two years and one for three years, Two Trus- tees of Vernon Grove Cemetery, and Fifteen Constables; to be voted for on ballots prepared and furnished in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 548 of the Acts of 1898; also upon said ballots the voters will give in their votes "Yes" or "No" in answer to the question, "Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town?"
ARTICLE 3. To hear and act upon the reports of the Se- lectmen, School Committee, Overseers of the Poor, Treasurer, Engineers of Fire Department, Tax Collector, Trustees of Pub-

lic Library, Trustees of Vernon Grove Cemetery, and any other Officers and Committees of said Town.
ARTICLE 4. To raise and appropriate such sum or sums of money as may be necessary to defray Town expenses for the year ensuing.
ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will authorize the Treas- urer to borrow money in anticipation of the Taxes of the cur- rent year.
ARTICLE 6. To determine when all Taxes shall be col- lected and paid into the Treasury the year ensuing, and to fix the compensation of the Collector of Taxes for collecting the same.
ARTICLE 7. To see if the Town will raise and appropri- ate one hundred and fifty dollars towards defraying the ex- penses of Memorial day.
ARTICLE 8. To see if the Town will authorize the Select- men to take charge of all legal proceedings for or against the Town.
ARTICLE 9. To see if the Town will accept and allow the report of the Selectmen on the laying out and grading of a way leading from Pearl street to School street through land of L. A. Cook and heirs of Peter Cook, appropriate any money to build the same, or take any action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 10. To see if the Town will vote to widen and lengthen the bridge on Dilla street where it crosses the stream leading from Louisa Lake, appropriate any money therefor, or take any action in relation to the same.
ARTICLE 11. To see if the Town will take another lease of the land occupied by the house of Hose Company No. 3, on Central street.
ARTICLE 12. To see if the Town will discontinue the striking apparatus connected with the town clock, in view of making the fire alarm striker more efficient, or take any action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 13. To see if the Town will purchase a chemi- cal engine or combination wagon for the fire department, ap-

propriate money for the same, or take any action in relation to the same.
ARTICLE 14. To see if the Town will appropriate $425 for the indicators located at the Engine, Hose, and Ladder houses, or take any action in relation to the same.
ARTICLE 15. To see if the Town will appropriate five hundred dollars to rebuild and re-lay the sidewalk on the southerly side of East Main street, or take any action in rela- tion thereto.
ARTICLE 16. To see if the Town will authorize the Se- lectmen to place in or near Memorial Hall, with appropriate public ceremony, a tablet or other memorial to the memory of the soldiers who served in the Spanish war to the credit of Milford, and raise and appropriate money for the same.
ARTICLE 17. To see if the Town will vote to pave a por- tion of Main street, and raise and appropriate money for the same, or take any action in relation thereto.
And you are hereby directed to serve this Warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at each of the Public Meet- ing Houses and at the Post-Office in said Town; also cause an attested copy to be published in The Milford Daily Journal, Milford Daily News, and Milford Gazette, newspapers printed in said Town, Two Sabbaths at least before the Time set for said meeting.
Hereof Fail Not, and make due return of this Warrant with your doings thereon, to the Clerk of said Town, at the time of meeting aforesaid.
